The Bride's Shoppe really made my dress buying experience perfect! I was recently engaged and was just starting dress shopping. I went to one shop in a different town and had a bad experience, so when I went to The Bride's Shoppe I was so nervous. The gal that helped me was absolutely amazing. I didn't have an appointment and had no idea what I was doing, what I was looking for, or what questions I should be asking. She took her time, made me feel comfortable, and addressed all of my concerns. I was able to try on a few dresses and we narrowed down what I liked pretty quick and I found The Dress after 4-5 dresses. She asked me dozens of questions that I hadn't even considered, gave me a magazine and a wedding planner. The Bride's Shoppe is so clean and beautiful and comfortable to be in. Since finding my dress I have been in the store numerous times. 1: pre dress shopping which I found my dress. 2: I had one bridesmaid that wasn't going to be able to make it to my scheduled appointment with my family and other bridesmaids so they let me try the dress on to show her. 3. the gal was absolutely wonderful when dealing with my family and calming me down when i started crying in the dressing room. After describing what I wanted for the wedding she was able to pull perfect bridesmaid dresses. 4. She was incredible when I went back planning on changing the bridesmaid dresses and I ended up still choosing the same dress just changed the color. I love this shoppe and they will definitely be at the top of my list for formal wear...
Read moreThis comes as a suprise as The Bride Shoppe has been a staple for years in the Great Falls community. However, today was a huge slap in the face and an extreme disappointment. My friend, who is the bride to be, wanted to take a peak at the BRIDEMAIDS dresses to get some ideas on what colors she may choose for her wedding. As we walked in, we saw a sign on the door "BRIDAL GOWNS BY APPOINTMENT ONLY", we acknowledged the sign, but proceeded in (as we were, again, looking for BRIDESMAIDS dresses) and figured we didn't need an appointment, right? Wrong. We barely stepped one foot in the door before we got stopped in our tracks, and got our butts chewed by an older lady who said in an extremely sassy tone "can I help you?" And clearly wanted us to leave. She was in such a rush to kick us out that she didn't even hear our reason for being there that day. When she said we needed an appointment to be there, we again, tried to say we simply just wanted to browse the bridesmaids dresses and would stay out of her hair. She then mumbled something, threw her hands up, and said "whatever, fine" and walked away while shaking her head. We obviously did not stay, and walked right out. Then, we all hung out outside of the shop, in total disbelief at her behavior, and she walked by the window, seeing us all standing outside and didn't say anything about us leaving. We will not be using the Bride Shoppe in this wedding...
Read moreMy initial experience choosing a dress with my mom was wonderful. We found my dress over a year in advance and due to weight loss after having a baby I made sure to ask the important questions. "Can my dress be taken in that much?" "Is this too far in advance?" I was reassured, "the dress can be taken in five miles if we have to." All answers a bride wants to hear, however after 2 alteration appointments my dress still did not fit. My wedding was out of state therefore it was shipped to my mom's house. When it arrived I tried it on and the dress hung off of my body. The pins that were put in the dress at the last alteration appointment meant nothing. I called the shop the very next morning hoping for some help of any kind and I got blamed for "losing too much weight." Then was told it was my fault because the seamstress did exactly what I told her to do, even though she didn't take the dress in where it needed to be. 2 days before my wedding I had to go find a new dress because the original dress I had picked out hung off of me like a gunny sack. I was and still am beyond disappointed by the way the situation was handled and how I received the blame from the shop. The shop has also refused the buy back the dress due to lack of effort on my part, "to get by for the ceremony." No bride wants to just get by on her...
