Second update: although Shauna tried to make things right, the bowling alley was once again a let down. I used the free game they gave us to make up for the bad experience I previously had and it was another bad experience. My family and I went recently and they put us at a lane that didnât have bumpers. I asked for bumpers because I have 2 small children and they said the bumpers on our lane didnât work and just told us to use a ramp. So it was not fun for them since they couldnât hit anything even with the ramp since the balls never went straight. Plus they were out of a lot of food and drinks. It was just another bad experience. Iâll stick to other bowling alleys from now on. I used to go to this place a lot and had great experiences but itâs gone downhill over the past few years.
Update: I spoke with Shauna and she was very friendly and empathetic to the situation. She was able to make me feel a little better about what happened at my sonâs birthday. Nothing can change the stress that day brought but at least they attempted to make it right.
I recently had my sonâs birthday party here and it was probably one of the worst birthday party experiences Iâve had. For one I have no idea who my host was, there were different people that brought food to us. Two, we had to go to the bar area to ask for plates after the âhostâ didnât bring any for over 20 minutes. Three, we added on a game of laser tag and we had to search for someone to start the game. Once we found the girl she was very rude to the kids and stormed off once the game started. And lastly, the workers were just not friendly.
It wasnât very busy that night so I donât understand why we were ignored the entire time. I also donât feel like the automatic gratuity was deserved since we hardly received any âserviceâ during the party. For the price I paid I expect way better service. Paying over $400 to be ignored and for the kids to be mistreated was absolutely NOT worth it.
I will not be going back for birthday parties...
Read moreI am extremely disappointed with Chippers Lanes. I had my sonâs 5th birthday party here and it was very subpar at best. We paid for the Ultimate Bash which is the most expensive party package available which is supposed to include a party host and our âHostâ was nonexistent the entire party. Our laser tag ended and no one was even there to give our final scores or exit the area. Extremely unprofessional in my opinion. And we never got the âParty Surpriseâ that was supposed to be included. The arcade games are terrible and very limited and very expensive I might add, over $1.50 per game. Also the âXL Pizzaâ included in the package is a joke. It was a tiny pizza and wouldnât feed 12 kids in any capacity. I paid a $75 deposit to book the party and that was NOT returned and I was not told that the deposit wouldnât be returned or absorbed into the party price. Had I known I wouldâve gone elsewhere. We paid $75 on top of the over $300 Bill. I am NOT happy at all. And in previous comments the owner mentioned that you guys are the cheapest and best deal in the area. I found places that offered way more for less! (I did not choose this location or I wouldâve went to those places instead, My father chose Chippers) I will not be recommending this place to anyone in the future. If I could give zero stars I would. The only reason I didnât make a scene and ask for a full refund was because my 5 year old did have fun and thatâs all that matters in the end. But I definitely would not recommend booking a party here. And definitely read the reviews before you book here!!! I wish I had, I wouldâve saved my father...
Read moreI had never bowled here before this experience, and I can honestly say that I more than likely will not be going back. I was looking for somewhere to join a league, and back in early November i saw they were advertising for leagues to start in January. They offered a single player league which was perfect for me. I emailed the league director, Jenna, 5-7 from November to January 3rd asking and double checking that the league was going to happen. It was supposed to start on Friday January 10th @ 5:30 pm. I showed up early to be sure i was all set up and not late. All there was there were about 5 employees and 3 customers, all drinking alcohol and playing poolâŚthe customers, not the employees. As soon as jenna got there i went up to her, not her coming up to me, and she let me know that I was the only person they had for the league!!!! WHAT!!!!!! They didnât apologize, just said I could have some games for the price i was gonna pay? The thing that pisses me off the most, is i got these nights off of work for 2 months because I was told there were leagueâs!!! On top of everything, the prices for EVERYTHING were OUTRAGEOUS!!!!! $30 for a pizza, $14 for a side of onion rings? Needless to say I didnât order anything. All i got was a Dr Pepper out the machine, which was expired in 2021 đđđ it was one thing after another here? This place is like a carnival inside. No theme. Everything just doesnât go together. Oh yeahâŚ.while i was bowling, I guess they tried to do a âmidnight bowlingâ thing by turning the lights off and turning on a few lasers. I couldnât see the lane AT ALL. Worst...
