I was considering using the corporate account for our new international startup, which is registered in the US. I was contacted by one of the corporate account managers who welcomed me. After discussing our needs, we agreed that a simple account would suffice.
As a startup, we are conducting research, and we had planned to provide a $10 card to our participants for their time. I used the PerfectGive service once, and the card was received shortly after without any issues.
They charged $2.95 for sending a $10 card, but we only learned about this charge at the checkout. Despite the 30% service fee, we decided that for this quick research involving only 5-10 participants, it wasn't worth the time to find a cheaper service.
Two days later, I intended to send another card to the next participant. However, just seven minutes after sending the virtual card, the transaction was denied. I contacted customer support for assistance.
Support informed me that we had been flagged due to some information not matching, and they had to block the transaction. I asked them for guidance on what information needed correction, but I was told there was nothing I could do. They had flagged us, and we would have to use a different vendor. They offered no explanation or assistance, just the directive to find another provider.
While this may not be a significant issue when sending gift cards to your grandchildren, it poses a problem for a business and its reputation. What will the participants think when they don't receive the money or when they receive the card but cannot access the funds? With the abundance of fraud and data phishing scams on the internet, this could impact our business and how it is perceived. We have successfully established several businesses in multiple countries, and I cannot rely on a service that could tarnish my company's reputation. To make matters worse, I cannot even cancel the account we have with them because their website is so limited. I sincerely hope that sharing this experience will benefit...
Read moreI do NOT recommend this company. I had ordered several $50 VISA gift cards for my family last Christmas and they were just fine. I also ordered 2 cards for 2 of my grandsons for birthdays and again, they were good. This time, however, I ordered another $50 VISA card for my 5yo granddaughter's 5th birthday and after a week of "artistic review" they CANCELLED MY ORDER. NO REASON GIVEN. NO NOTICE (until I finally emailed them to ask "why so long?" after she had not received it in 8 days) and they informed it that it had been CANCELLED due to "artistic review"...whatever that means?? NO EXPLANATION. NO REASON GIVEN. AND I AM FORBIDDEN/BLOCKED FROM ORDERING FROM THEM EVER AGAIN. AND AGAIN,...NO REASON GIVEN. "We are unable to process any further orders from this account. We highly recommend customer find another vendor." There was NOTHING wrong with this order. I had put a picture of my granddaughter on it as I had done with the 2 boys earlier and still...they "could not verify"...even tho' all they had to do was ASK ME??? But they never did. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY. THEY ARE FRAUD AND TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE (non-existent). ONE STAR* ~ less...
Read moreI purchased a gift card on last week for a friend who had recently lost four of her family members. When ordering it showed I was ordering a visa gift card and that it could be used for whatever. I purchased it to assist friend with gas, food, or other things she may have needed while on the road. However, my friend who doesn’t like to cause any problems, waited until she returned to town, to tell me the information she received with the card. It states “(1) Please write down or print your Virtual Card information for future use. The Virtual Card can only be used for online or over the phone purchases.”
Now I am reading all these reviews and surely hope this isn’t a scam as what a horrible thing to do to someone who is trusting you to be a reputable company to only have her dear friend who is already hurting get back with you and let you know the card cannot be used for what is was intended. I am heartbroken and will definitely follow-up with whoever I need to to ensure this never happens to...
