Shanthi Supermarket — Local services in Green Tree

I love it here. This store is amazing! The prices are very good here on spices. And the owner is very kind. And he is also very friendly. Next time I am running low on spices to cook curries or even to get something small like dates or coconut water I will be stopping in for sure. Additionally, the amount of spices you get for the price is amazing!!!! At big box retailers, they charge you an arm and a leg. I have photos of what I got below!! I also got a large coconut water!! And as I said it was very affordable! The only thing that maybe I missed is pooja items because I am a Shakti householder. Thank you very much for a wonderful experience and awesome customer service! Had what may have been my best retail experience ever at Shanthi. I like to experiment with cooking recipes from other cultures. This means I have to occasionally find ingredients that I can't even pronounce. In preparing for an Indian-themed dinner, I went to Shanthi with a list of ingredients I couldn't find at the big box groceries. What I found was a clean store staffed by a pleasant gentleman who quickly helped me find everything on my list and created such a warm and welcoming environment for me. Went today looking for ingredients to make the Trinidadian dish doubles today. They had a very good selection throughout the store. I was looking for tamarind sauce since its sweet but was recommended plum sauce and it was delish. Also the cilantro was fresh and everything was priced very well. I spoke to I believe VJ and he was very helpful and informative on products and gave very good suggestions. I'd recommend this local business over the big box chains any day. I will...
