ALDI — Local services in Greenacres

I visited one Aldi store a while ago and was severely disappointed in the cleanliness. However, since this is a brand new building I thought I would give it a try and I was impressed. The store is large and the aisles are wide so you don't feel claustrophobic. I thought the pricing was good. For me I did find one issue and that is you can't always find everything that you want there. I specifically was looking for fresh parsley and green onions which they did not have. I don't know how other people shop but I like to have a recipe in my head and then shop for those ingredients that I need to complete that recipe. I would not approach Aldi that way. I will return to Aldi but it will be to pick up items and then have to go to another Market to complete what it is that I want to make. They have a frozen pizza that I really like. Update June 23rd 2022, it seems to me that the food shelves are being replaced by merchandise. I used to like to get the chicken breast here but they're practically non-existent! I wonder why that is? Whereas Aldi used to have two rows of what knots now there's even more. I wonder if that's to fill up empty spaces where...

Honestly, the store was exceeding my expectations for the most part, until the end. One issue that I had before that was in the meat department. Hand wipes would be a good idea in that area, given the sticky substance all over the packs of chicken.

Anyway... The store has been open for one week and we already have a stand-out: Congratulations Monica! You have proven your lack of value in record time! In my decades of experience, I have never seen someone who puts items in the cart as poorly as you. Not to mention you are allowed to sit all day at your job, and still can't set a bag of grapes in a cart without flipping the open bag over on top of the sticky packet of chicken. It wasn't until I left that my daughter told me you were the same one who my wife was complaining about when she got home from Aldi 3 days earlier. Your work ethic is disgusting, and you have no business being around people's food. You must either be one of the dim-whittiest people on the planet, or you are disgruntled with society. Either way, you have been rendered useless in the work force.

Today, June 28 around 5PM... Extremely disappointed by this Aldi location which I've been to before many times. We're in the midst of a huge Covid surge in Palm Beach County and on all previous recent visits to this location & others in PBC, the shopping carts were given freely (without needing a quarter to get) and one Aldi employee would stand outside wiping down with disinfectant each cart & giving to each arriving customer plus ask those entering who do not have masks not to enter. Well tonight not only did everyone have to use quarters again to get a cart but the Aldi employee assigned to wipe carts was not only NOT wiping carts or even offering to do so as people entered BUT just stood inside the vestibule with her back to everyone ignoring everyone who entered. Plus it as I was leaving that attendant just let a man enter the store without wearing a mask and didn't even say a word to him. It is now the law in Palm Beach County that everyone wear a mask in public places. I am extremely annoyed at ALDI right now. Shame on them! And shame on the store manager for allowing this employee to go...
