Iâve been a loyal customer of this GameStop location for years, but my recent experience was extremely disappointing and concerning. During my visit, I witnessed a manager treat her staff in a completely unprofessional and disrespectful manner.
While two team members were actively assisting customers and receiving training, another young womanâwho stated she was off the clockâstood behind the counter on her phone. Rather than offering support or handling the situation discreetly, the manager loudly criticized the staff in front of everyone, accusing them of not doing their jobs. Her tone and demeanor were unnecessarily harsh, especially considering the staff appeared to be doing their best under pressure.
The manager then exited the store, still on her phone and audibly cursing, leaving a very negative impression on everyone present. It was upsetting to see employees spoken to as if they were less than human. No one deserves to be treated that wayâespecially in front of customers.
This kind of behavior is unacceptable in any workplace, let alone a customer-facing environment. I sincerely hope leadership takes a moment to reflect on how this incident reflects on the store and the broader brand. Iâve always appreciated the service here, but this incident has made me think twice...
   Read moreI usually shop here and have a good experience, but I had a particularly bad one today.
I showed up with my kid to do the Switch 2 pre-order. I got ticket 48/52 for the Mario Kart Bundle. We waited in line for about two hours, but he really needed to get home. One of the employees said that we could leave and come back as long as the line still existed, so I took my kid home to get him out of the sun.
I came back as quickly as I could (around 1:15). The man who was in line in front of me was just exiting the store when I got back. When I got to my turn to go inside, the woman managing the line proceeded to yell at me for leaving the line in the first place, then she yelled at her employee (Cade?) for giving wrong information. I was genuinely shocked that I was being yelled at, so I just handed her my ticket and left.
Logic would dictate that the unit reserved for ticket was still available, but it didn't feel appropriate to make a scene about it since other people were still in line (who just wanted to shop and weren't trying to preorder).
I'm feeling pretty burned, and I'm not likely to shop at this...
   Read moreMy husband & I went in to buy a NEW ps5 and the two year warranty, Brett and Kade was helping us. As they were ringing up my husband asking to see the PlayStation before hand. Brett said we couldnât until he finished our purchase. So we bought it, he went to the back to get the PlayStation, brought it out to me. I grabbed it & then gave it to my husband, he looked at the seal was broken & the box was a little crappy. They blamed it on the âshippingâ. Meanwhile we asked for an exchange or store credit he asked Kade privately & then told us no. We went to the car my husband looked everything over. It was missing a piece so we brought it back in. Brett told us we couldnât return because it was taken out of store & opened. Meanwhile it was already opened when put into our hands. He was very rude & arguing/yelling at us. These too employees are VERY unprofessional. As they shouldâve let us confirm that the packaging was sealed before we bought. Because we wouldâve never bought if we knew that the deal was broken. I will be contacting corporate, GameStop needs better employees that arenât going...
