Eat Rice presents as a no frills take-out Chinese restaurant. The waiting area offers eight folding chairs for customers. There are no posters or photos on the walls. The counter for ordering food is enclosed and has a fortress-feel. Food is delivered to customers through a small door. But this all testifies to an authentic Chinese approach to take-out. So does the couple in the kitchen who speak Chinese to each other. (The restaurant reminds me of small eateries I have enjoyed in Mainland China.) Expect to wait a bit for your meal or order ahead. The food is prepared after its ordered. The prices are reasonable and the menu exhaustive. The food is delicious. We ordered dumplings, sweet & sour pork, and chicken with mixed vegetables. Everything was delicious. 9/21/2024 On this trip to Eat Rice, I see the Covid protections have been removed from around the cash register. The food is still delicious. Give this takeout restaurant a try.

It has been very difficult to find good Chinese food since the pandemic. The quality at all my favorites spots have really talen a nose dive. So when by chance I got some left over Tso Chicken from here from the kids, I honestly was not expecting much. Chinese food rarely heats up decent but this was actually good even reheated. So I had to go try it fresh. And yeah WOW it was fresh and yummy. Wife and I were taken back. We had the chicken with mushrooms, Amazing, the Tso Chicken and the sesame chicken which were equally as good. The one that got all the kids talking was the Crab rangoon. Fresh and filled to perfection! The portions were good and plentiful. Highly recommend! I can't believe I dismissed this place for years just based on the silly name. Learned my lesson.

Basic, no-frills, stripped down kitchen space within a strip mall. There's a table but this place is intended for carry-out. Menu selection and cost is on par with any decent Chinese place I've visited. Carry-out time estimate was spot-on, friendly service, and the order was accurate. Most importantly, the C21 General Tso's Chicken Combination was good. The lowest spiciness was OK but quite bland, lacking any heat, and generously slathered in sauce but not drowning in it.

We ordered crab rangoon, beef chow mein, pork egg foo young, and lemon chicken. Crab rangoon was very sweet for some reason and we didn't even use the watery, red 'sweet & sour' stuff that was packed with it. Beef chow mein had fatty beef. Fully half of the dish was onions and celery (someone's comments here even said they DON'T use too much celery - you lied!) and then there was some limp shreds of green veggie that I assume was bok choy. Blech. Two bites and I was done. Egg foo young was overcooked and salty. The lemon chicken had weak lemon taste to the sauce and just like the rest of everything, the chicken was overcooked and dry. This place needs to change its deep fryer oil more often. The time quoted to us for pickup was 30-40 minutes and it hit their counter 62 minutes after I placed the order. The only reason I would give this place one star is the prices are cheap. But if you don't eat what you pay for, then . . . not so...

Have been ordering from this place since it opened and I have never been disappointed. It is one of the best American Chinese food places on this side of Wisconsin. The ingredients always taste fresh and delicious, with generous takeout portions. They don't skimp on the meat or seafood! I have kids that are picky eaters and they love the shrimp with broccoli and the egg rolls the most. My kid who always asks for only peanut butter sandwiches all day will quietly chow down on the rice and broccoli, then invite the shrimp to the belly party. Another of my kids didn't even know until today that egg rolls are full of cabbage (stuff she doesn't like to eat if I make it at home) and just raised her eyebrows and said "well I love cabbage then!" and continued to eat the whole egg roll up as usual. The staff are always polite and friendly, food is made to order and ready quickly. My family and I really enjoy the food and the...
