The store is not setup to be accomodating at all for those with any kind of physical disability and is certainly not to code according to the ADA standards. The center aisle does not have enough width due to the multiple displays, end caps, shelving units, tables, etc. that are crammed in to the space. This makes it impossible for anyone with a stroller, walker, wheelchair, or any mobility impairment to walk down or use the center aisle when going from row to row or crossing from one side of the store to the next. The wall aisles are somewhat accessible, but they do have chairs for makeup demos blocking the way for half of the store.
If you enter the store, go up the wall side, down a row, you will then immediately need to turn around and go back the way you came because you cannot use that main aisle to go to the next row, cross to the other side of the store, or leave, even if you want to.
When I approached the door, in wheelchair, I noticed that they do not have an automatic entry door, button to push, or other form of entry. While I spent time trying to struggle to pull the first of the dual doors open, I noticed that there were 4 employees standing a few feet from the interior door. Luckily, a customer was coming in at the same time and finally helped me enter. Once I did enter, the 4 employees stopped chatting to each other and "welcomed" me.
After I was able to browse for a short time, I realized where the product I came for was and attempted to make my way in that direction. I became caught on a shelf full of candles and breakable items in the dreaded center aisle as I was trying to cross from one side of the store to the other. Again, a customer helped me out. By the time I finally got to the area of my desired product, I was feeling very stressed and overwhelmed. I could not find the products, there was no one who I could see who could help me, and I just decided to leave. Or...make my way back to the doors to attempt to leave until some random customer who also happened to be leaving would offer to help me.
In fairness to all reviews I've given, this might be the worst. It was the worst a short visit has ever left me feeling. I've never been this let down by staff, this frustrated by a corporate or boutique store layout, and let down by simple doors all together in one visit.
I can't recommend visiting this location if you or anyone in your life uses a stroller, wheelchair, walker, mobility aid, or anything that takes up more space than a medium...
Read moreBesides the fact that every time I order online my packages always end up getting thrown onto my porch from the sidewalk as if my package was a football. Iâve called numerous of times to report the drivers yet it always happens. In search of having a better experience and giving Ulta another chance I went to store to redeem my birthday $10 coupon. Just to buy my perfume & get home to find out my perfume has little black particles of I donât know what inside of it just floating. I go to ask for a return and said I wanted the same one but I was going to open in right in front of them to make sure the second one isnât the same. The worker said âwell you have to buy it firstâ ITS AN EXCHANGE. What do you mean? She comes back with the second bottle and itâs the exact same way. Manager Kayla came to get involved and says she can return my money but canât return my $10 coupon. Then proceeds by saying âyou can pick something worth the same amount and we can use the coupon.â I said okay I want another perfume. She then points towards the perfume section and says âyou can go ask someone for help, there should be someone thereâ WHY WOULD I GET OUT OF LINE JUST TO GO WAIT AROUND FOR SOMEONE TO HELP ME? When youâre already helping me. All theyâre going to do is grab it and bring it up front. Iâm already up front. Mind you there was a big line behind me. So she expected me to get out of line just go to wait for someone else to help as if she couldnât just go get the perfume I wanted herself. Never once did anyone apologize for the inconvenience & nobody even cared how I felt. Mind you ITS MY BIRTHDAY and nobody even cared to say happy birthday either. I was so happy to go redeem my coupon just to go through this situation that IS NOT MY FAULT. As a platinum member I will never shop at Ulta again. Iâm very...
Read moreDO NOT EVER WASTE YOUR MONEY AT ULTA! My daughter purchased several items online on "black Friday" because there were "great deals." Only one of the items ever arrived the rest said in transit for two weeks. When we finally called we spoke the most horrendously rude customer service lady imaginable. She first refused to speak with me, despite me having paid for the items on my credit card, because it was my daughters (a minor) account. Once I got my daughter she finally agreed to speak to me and I was informed rudely that the other items were damaged in shipping and returned to the warehouse. At no point did we receive any email or contact saying that this was the case. To further add to this, the items were not even resent, we were told we would have to completely reorder them. Whilst this was annoying we thought fine we'll just do it only to discover that because this was a "reorder" we now did not qualify for free shipping so the order would now cost more than planned. After pointing this out we were rudely told that no free shipping was ever available via customer service, so I asked for a supervisor and suddenly we were given a code for free shipping. Before hanging up we specifically asked if the items were still in stock and were assured that they were. Before we had even hung up my daughter was trying to reorder them through the website only to find that one of the two items was out of stock, we then tried to order the remaining item using the free shipping code that was emailed to us only to be told the code was invalid. In the end we found the products cheaper both on Amazon and at Target and without the hassle. Don't waste your money or...
