Not specific to this store but Furniture Mart Online and Customer Service as well as this location. First, the online system took some navigating but customer service was very helpful in getting that figured out. I placed a $1,900 order. My card was pre-authorized for the full amount and I received a confirmation email which stated I would be contacted within 24 hours to arrange pickup. After 24 hours I hadn't been contacted but my friend was in the area with a trailer so I had him stop by only to be told he needed "paperwork".....hard to get from an online order. After several calls to Gretna, Covington, Hammond and Customer Service nobody could help fulfill the order. Not a single person wanted to take charge and get an order placed but instead passed the buck over and over again. I'll take my business elsewhere.
Edit/Update to owner response....two issues as outlined above, no contact happened by your team on their own. Contact only happened when my delivery driver showed up to get the order. Best I could tell the charge had gone through and my order would be ready. Second, while on the phone with various people not a single person wanted to actually help resolve the order in a timely fashion, 24-48 hours after already waiting 24 hours with no contact.....yea, not reassuring. Read moreToday I received my furniture from Furniture Mart in Gretna. I was at work, so my mom was at the house for delivery. 2 men delivered and set up(which I paid for) the furniture in my living room. When they were done, they decided they didn’t want to take the trash. My mom asked them if they we’re taking it and one of the men told her no. He said it’s the customer’s responsibility and she had to pay him if she wanted him to take it. WAIT WHAT????? PAY TO TAKE THE TRASH THAT YOU BROUGHT AND LEFT ALL OVER MY LIVING ROOM? So she didn’t argue, and called me about it. I immediately called the store and to no surprise, the girl who initially answered was also rude. She transferred my call and I finally spoke to someone who was willing to help. I have to give a shout out to the manager who came to the house himself, and took the garbage. He even called me to let me know it was gone. Really REALLY great manager! I believe his name is Jason. By the time he got there, My mom cleaned it all up herself and set it by the front door, not knowing I called the store. I’m not sure what type of customer service they are training over there, but they are going to lose business if this is how they treat customers. And, How dare the delivery driver ask for money!!!!! He really needs to be fired if that’s what he’s doing...
Read moreI will never purchase anything from furniture mart again I purchase two platform beds one for me and one for my son along with the mirror and chest which was delivered on march 7 they claim they forgotten the other pieces and on top of all that they brought the wrong footboard and of course I was pissed off the delivery guy said someone will call me but never called so the next day I called them to see what was going on with the other pieces Ms.Wanda set up another delivery date for march 13 they deliver man never showed up never called I called them the very next day they set up another date to delivered which is today march 17 come to find out the first delivery guys forgot to put on the paper that I needed the bottom piece to hold up the boards and the mattress i just call back now they saying the piece is out of stock and they don't know when it will be back in stock I am really disappointed I will never recommend furniture mart to anyone they don't communicate with each other or with the customers I just want them to come pick up my son bed,mirror,chest I want my money back I can go somewhere else like rooms to go where I shoulda went...
