ALDI — Local services in Gretna

I was so excited about Aldi‘s coming to Gretna because I love the one in Marrero, but did not like to drive there… when I went, it had been open for one week and the whole wall freezer section was being caution taped because the freezers were out already… Then they only had one cashier open, and the line was pretty long. They finally had someone else come up there and open another register, the young man that checked me out, literally threw my stuff in a basket. This would not have been a big deal if he wouldn’t have thrown my yogurts and pineapple in the basket and threw stuff on top of it…finally when he was fixing to throw some Waterloo packs on top I stopped him and asked him to please stop throwing my stuff in the basket. He was gonna bust all the soft stuff he threw in first. The store really needs to have a self checkout registers like the Marrero store, so I can Place my stuff gently in the basket or in my cooler bag. I don't know what they did with all the space that winn Dixie had. It looks almost half the size. I saw videos and heard rumors about aldi's meat being either lab grown or just fake but decided to try for myself. I bought 2 new York strip steaks. They tasted good, way more tender than any other NY strip I've bought and cooked but I've never seen a real steak look porous like this. I just left Aldis on Wall Blvd. & Belle Chasse. Their mangoes are listed as 1.29 a piece. I always buy mangoes from there & there usually .87 cents a piece.
