It took me over an hour just to get through to their lines at this location. Their other office on Woodward kept transferring me here and no one would bother to pick up the phone. I am sure this is a great Medical Center but I called on 2.6.2018 at 3:30p.m and the operator was RUDEEE and NASTY! I explained what was wrong with me and that I couldn't see my doctor until Friday and I needed care now as they are part of my network for my insurance (my foot hurts and I told her that "I" diagnosed myself with a stress fracture and I am not a doctor but I think that is what it is - I wanted to know if this is something they can help me with and if this center was a place that offered services for what I needed or think I needed. She kept telling me that I have to go to the Emergency Room if I have a fracture. Again, I told her that I wasn't diagnosed with a fracture, I am just assuming that that is what it is but I needed to see someone to confirm and I didn't want to wait until Friday. Today is Tuesday. She kept saying that I needed to go to an E.R to get diagnosed with a Fracture. I'd like to think that I am smart enough to decipher if my situation needs an E.R visit - This is NOT an emergency, I am just in slight pain and it's a little uncomfortable. I just need to see someone before Friday. She wouldn't listen so I can explain to her, she kept telling me that I needed to go to the E.R in the most nonchalant voice she can conjure up. She then said she is just an operator and couldn't help me. I then said, put me on to someone who can help me please, she told me to hold on and proceeded to hang up the phone. Ā Ā Ā Read moreUpdate 8/3/19: I was here on Thursday, my review of this place has not changed one bit. DO NOT GO TO THIS EMERGENCY ROOM. Not only is it dirty and outdated inside, the staff (particularly the nurses) are honestly some of the rudest people on earth I have ever met- no bedside manner at all. Do they even receive any kind of empathy training? I won't go into detail about my situation but an older nurse with white hair rudely snapped at one of my family members for hyperventilating, when I (calmly) told her to please not yell at them, and that they were in pain, she snapped at me "I'M DOING THE BEST I CAN" No, no you're not. I'm angry I didn't get her name although I do plan on filing a complaint. Do not go here if you want the staff to treat you with even an ounce of human decency. Go to Beaumont or St. John's. DO NOT come here. I know that HFHS is going to reach out and ask me to contact customer service but I know that will not resolve anything because I have dealt with them before; nothing happened and nothing was resolved, I was just more frustrated. Just please do yourselves and your family members a favor and go elsewhere.
8/14/16 If I could give this place zero or even negative stars I would. Everyone seems to take their time during what was an incredibly stressful situation for me last week and the place seems dirty.
