San Jose Mart is truly a magical place. You walk in, music from the early 2000s assaults your ears through crackling speakers. You take a look at the eggs, though wow'd by the price, soon realize they expire tomorrow. They are probably out of bread. And lettuce. And milk. But from the looks of it, they will never run out of kimchi! You can't read the label on anything in your shopping basket, but it's on sale and most likely will not kill you. You decide to skip the line where the chuukese guy is arguing with the cashier because he doesn't know English, only to find that the cashier you wound up with doesn't know any either. You manage to pay for your things, and hustle to your car before that shifty bunch of hobos in the parking lot notice you. Your friends later tell you about the notorious health violations of San Jose Mart, leaving you even more thankful that you skipped on the eggs and produce.
At least it's a great place...

Oooh yeeeeeessssssss... they even have black rice. I now can make PURPLE RICE. Love this...

It's store hours and it's large array of different products from brands I am not able to find stocked on any other stores shelves are what make this place my newest "go to". However, their prices are marked quite high but when you last minute need something and every store on Guam is closed, you're just glad that you even have the option to pay a higher price than not...
