While the atmosphere and location are prime, time limits set forth on dining time and rules regarding how to order completely destroy any type of hopeful dining and peaceful enjoyment. Here’s the thing - at start, you are welcomed with a minimum limit of 5 entrees. I believe that was due to our party size (7)… OK, no big deal. But then you are also set a dinning limit of 3 hours. While this may be more than enough time to have a pleasant early dinner we weren’t able to order until 30 minutes into our dinning experience. Last restriction - you HAVE to order drinks, apps, and entrees AT THE SAME TIME ( FULL ORDER). You essentially have to stress balancing your time limit with a quick test of what you want in a long list of options (50+ Items). I hope you can read fast, real fast! This is the last thing you might be expecting given the premium food served. Its good, no doubt about that. But Bottles as I understood is a premium restaurant and given its positioning and price point you shouldn’t feel rushed. Hopefully this is temporary. The server had great energy and answered all our questions. Don’t know if I’ll be back. Maybe I’ll call beforehand next time to see if this rules have...
Read moreCame here for a business meeting. I guess this is the Beverly Hills type restaurant in Puerto Rico. Lots of fancy cars and high end clientele. We step in and it looks like a marriage of a total wine and a warehouse. Nothing fancy. We get seated and not five minutes into introductions and conversations the waiter comes and says it’s 5:30 you have to order food now as this is the food section of the restaurant. I’m like wait a minute. We already order a bottle and we are talking to each other. We will order soon. Waiter is all moody because we weren’t ready to order. This continued the whole night. Taking plates and silverware before we were finished. Can I say it was the issue of the waiter but it wasn’t. I asked the people I was eating with and they said, oh this is normal. Not in my mind. High end clientele demands service and this is plain dumb. The food wasn’t great either. My thoughts this is a place to be seen I guess. So people keep coming. I know I won’t....

This was our second visit to Bottles. I am absolutely positive there will be a third. We arrived at 2:30 PM. This kept us away from the lunch crowd and the dinner crowd. Our late lunch started with a stroll around the restaurant and search of the perfect bottle of wine. It was not very difficult. I was able to locate a beautiful bottle of Amarone 2012. The menu is full of wonderful selections. We chose the crabcakes and the Tuna Tartar tacos as an appetizer. Be warned, the portions are well above average! Unfortunately, our first bottle of wine did not last long. Ha ha our second selection was an equally as beautiful bottle of Rioja. This bottle pretty much drove our main menu selection. We chose the braised beef, ravioli, and veal chops. Once again, both dishes were...
