Today Sunday August 3 2025. Around 12:30pm. Date & hour of purchase.
I came here because I used to receive an excellent service back then. Less than an hour ago, I bought a sandwich, hash browns & an orange juice. The only thing I could pass through, the juice. In general, the food tasted like it was thrown all over the floor. 1st, messy wrapping. Once I took the sandwich out of the bag it fell off the wrap leaving a mess inside & out the bag. 2nd, the bread was so badly burnt, that even removing the burnted areas, the whole thing tasted awfully bad. 3rd, the hash browns were totally greasy, like if they were sitting on grease a long time after done. It's a real shame to pay for an expensive meal (bc they're not even close to cheap) & in exchange receive this garbage. Years back every single person in charge of my meal would've been fired. I would've returned it if I hadn't ordered drive-thru & already home when I opened that stuff, & unfortunately tired from work. I really hope someone takes action. A few days ago, a close friend told me not to buy again from El Mesón at San Patricio, saying it's not how it used to be. I should've listened. From now on I'm taking his words & letting friends know too.
0/5 food quality 0/5 waiting on line 2/5 customer service
I would've raised my rating on my 2nd choice if the meal wasn't so awful, but that wait was too excessive for that piece of junk.
Atmosphere rating, I only considered the outside of the restaurant. Just drive thru...

Read moreThis place is a local franchise restaurant known for their Puerto Rican authenticity in their sandwiches, coffee, and sweets. I would highly recommend getting a “Cubano” sandwich with “sorullos” (corn bread-like [stuffed with cheese] sticks). Sorullos are a MUST. They also have really good pumpkin soup worth trying. They also have “quesitos” that are also really tasty. I always stop for my Cubano here every time I come to Puerto Rico, it is again, a MUST visit. There are other Meson locations you can go to, but this one is deep in the metropolitan area, so if you are running meetings, errands or going though, this place is perfect next to the mall of San Patricio (plenty to do/shop) and they have parking. Thank me...
