Dollar General — Local services in Gulf Shores

Here currently on vacation. Went to grab a few things and everything is way over priced, staff was VERY UNFRIENDLY (after searching for ever for help there was a door open so I peeked my head in to a young girl inside who would only answer my questions with : I'm on my break, there should be a lady out there to help you. I said back, ma'am, I wouldn't be in here if there was a lady out there. She never even looked my way like I said anything) so i went to look for the lady and eventually found her to ask her about hangers. She said we dint get many in so we're out. I said what about these 2 boxes? She said no those were children hangers....which children hangers were in a different box and obviously she didn't want to help me so she walked away. I took it upon myself and opened the box and it was exactly what I was looking for. . I was so pissed that I left everything I was buying in my cart and went to Walmart down the road and got it much cheaper where customer service was much better. Highly disappointed DG and will never be back ever being 2...

Went in to grab something quickly, the internet said they closed at 11 and it was 950, however I walked and was told it was card only, that’s fine then told I only had a couple minutes! I said sorry and explained about the internet time. I grabbed my one item and was walking to the front as I hear a man yell is there anyone in here, the 2 woman at th front said yea one customer to which he replied well they better hurry up and get there stuff to the front he was ready to go. So I asked the girl at the register if he was a manager and she was very sweet and said no! However the manager was standing there and very rudely replied no I’m the manager! I told her that that was rude of the man and she said sorry, but then let the man come and argue with me saying he wasn’t being rude and that I was by coming in at the last minute. The manager said nothing and let him talk to me however! I own a business and this is uncalled for! Very bad...

I was very shocked to see the size of the store it’s huge I also noticed lack of diversity and the vulgar language coming from some of the younger cashiers I didn’t like shopping and having to listen to so much hate speech towards politicians the store had no males in site just women saying our president should have took a bullet I was so shocked I told the store manager and she said people are entitled to free speech as I continued to shop I heard a conversation of this same manager giving rehabilitation from drugs. This let me know why so many stores are not stocked and bad customer service if I was a investor I would pull out immediately Dollar General is going down due to poor employees like this store is huge and ran by people get...
