This is not my usual store location to shop but since I was in town, I decided to stop since I was passing right by it. I will first say there was a really nice lady at the front greeting people as they entered the store. She had dark hair and a friendly, genuine demeanor.
I did have a return on an item that I realized I had 2 of. They no longer had the item which was fine and was not a problem for me. It was the way the lady acted. I almost felt as if there was some suspicion on her part. Maybe it was that I didnโt have my receipt. She was at the register for returns but not so sure this was the place for her. Then I took my item back ( it was only like $5 ) and said that was fine and went on to look around the store. I thought about the situation and thought maybe I was just imagining this.
After picking up several items, I went to check out. There were only 2 cashiers so I ended up being in the same ladyโs line again. She asked me if a couple of the items had come from the sewing department and I said they had. She then told me my total and bagged my items. As I picked up my bag to leave, I said thank you. She said nothing. I said it again. Still nothing. No, I was not imagining.
I believe the lady that had been so friendly when I came in even noticed this. Although she herself was busy with a customer, she thanked me and said, โHave a nice day.โ
The lady who had twice made me feel uncomfortable was a mature woman. I feel like she should know better how to treat customers or find another position. I will be sure and shop in my regular store, Hattiesburg, where there has never been an occurrence like this.
Three stars only because of the other lady who was so nice. It would have been less with my...
ย ย ย Read moreI came in there this past Saturday the 12th. I had been driving since 7am that morning and arrived back home in Mississippi at 5pm. I had to stop at Hobby Lobby to pick up some things for a project. I purchased two zippers priced at $1.99 each, a pack of already threaded bobbins at $2.29, and a three pack of unthreaded plastic bobbins at $1.99. I get to the register and the lady types in my purchases and tells me my total was $17. It sounded a little weird but I did not question how much it was because I was extremely exhausted from driving so long. I left and when I get home I look at my receipt and the purchases did not say what the items were, instead they said "sewing" on all purchases and I was charged $0.99 x2 for "sewing", $11.99 for "sewing" and $2.29 for "sewing". I should have paid $8.26 plus tax, instead I was charged $17?. Once I find my receipt again I will be uploading pictures and the cashiers name. This is not okay and they stole...
ย ย ย Read moreConsidering they are Supposed to be a Christian based store, they have No consideration for HANDICAPPED or ELDERLY. There is ONLY 1 BIG wheelchair, NO MOTORIZED CART. If you have a bad hip and knee as I do, you can't push that Giant wheelchair around the store. After getting to patterns, I felt weak. The ONLY CHAIRS to sit in , in case you feel faint or weak, are at the patterns. There is NO CONSIDERATION, for anyone who may be in a sickly way after they have been in the store. There are ONLY 2 CHAIRS IN THE WHOLE STORE, no bench, maybe Midway, ANYWHERE. I heard Fri a previous employee this statement " We have a lot of glass in the store". OMG, So, an adult in a cart is not as smart as all the Kids who RUN loose in the store. Hobby Lobby is So big, even Michael's Craft Store has a motorized cart and they can't be but about 1/4 the size of Hobby Lobby. Seriously, Something HAS TO BE DONE. Do the...
