My wife bought me two $500 gift cards physical cards on the 16th of June two days later on the 18th the cards would not work called customer service they said the cards were reported lost or stolen they said they did not know how this happened and they would investigate and send replacements within 2 weeks. 2 weeks go by no new cards I contact again and I am told the same thing. I waited another week and contacted them again same result. I waited another week and contacted them a 3rd time and was told they would arrive in10-14 days well 2 weeks go by and no replacement so my wife who is very upset and depressed about this situation tried to go to this store to get help and they had her there for three hours then sent her home and said somebody would get back with her in 48 hours well 72 hours went by and we never heard anything so she went back to the store and the store manager told her he was not going to discuss it with her to contact corporate which we have already done several times so I guess itās ok for a company too take my hard earned money $1000 dollars my wife had been scrimping and saving to buy me a Fatherās Day gift and not even try to help us or let us know what is going on we have been left completely in the dark and basically told itās not there problem the cards were not stolen they traced the cards and showed they were never used but somehow the money was removed off of them I was a very happy customer and have spent tens of thousands of dollars at your store not anymore I will find somewhere else to shop after this issue gets settled we were never asking for are money back we just wanted what...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI went to the Best Buy store on Route 49 in Gulfport. I knew from looking online I wanted to purchase a complete security system for my vehicle as well as a kicker for my audio system. When I arrived at the store I began to speak to the audio person and he wasn't quite sure about any of the things I was asking him about. He could not sell me anything that I wanted because she did not possess any knowledge and told me that. I asked him if there was someone else in the store that could help me purchase a alarm system and subwoofer for my vehicle? He said no, the installer is out on vacation for another week and I asked if they only had one installer and he said no they had a second one but he is not as experienced. I said thank you very much. This was a waste of my time. When I was leaving the store, I asked the gentleman standing at the front door if he could assist me or find assistance. His name was "Chad" and claimed to be the general manager and told me that if I was not satisfied, for me to shop at another store. I thought I was very polite to him and told him I couldn't believe that he as a general manager was telling me to shop at another store. I told him I was shocked! Instead of assisting me to purchase what I needed to purchase in the store, he told me to go somewhere else to buy it. This store is inadequately staffed and the general manager "Chad" was having an attitude toward his store like I have never witnessed in my entire life. I will shop at another store for all of my future needs that I would have shopped at Best Buy for. I'm sorry that Best Buy has this attitude but then again, it may...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreTried Best Buy's Insignia brand product, an external camera flash for (all) Canon DSLR cameras. I have the Rebel SL1 model, which Best Buy sells, and the sales guy said the flash would be totally compatible. The pictures came out dark, apparently the flash wasn't communicating with the camera's instructions on how bright the flash needed to be. Software compatibility issue most likely.
So, I tried to return the flash. I brought my camera in to prove it wasn't actually compatible. The store's general manager didn't care to even find out which model of canon DSLR wouldn't work with it. Again, this was Insignia brand - best buy's own store brand.
I tried several times over the 30 days to make it work but it just isn't compatible. They refused to make a true refund and could care less what my problem was. Only store credit because I was past the 15 day return policy. The manager will continue selling this flash for the wrong camera without a care. He was rude and dismissive the whole time. Now I'm stuck with $80 on a gift card and nothing I need to spend it on.
A general manager is usually able to understand the big picture, loss of my business, bad reviews, etc. He simply doesn't care and it shows. The cashier was sympathies but her hands were tied. I was polite the whole time but expected to receive a refund due to bad marketing on Insignia's behalf. Amazon Prime here I come. There's really no point shopping at a big box store anyway. Thanks, Good luck if you...
