I had one of the worst dining experiences at Fuji Hibachi and Sushi Express, and I honestly regret spending my money here. The food was disappointing across the board, with only a couple of items being even remotely enjoyable.
I started with the shrimp shumai, which was mushy and tasted like 3D-printed food—definitely not the texture or flavor you’d expect. For my main meal, I got the scallop bento box, and it was just bad. The scallops tasted awful, like they were either overcooked, low quality, or just completely unseasoned. The bento box came with fried rice, which was decent, but everything else was a disaster. The vegetable egg roll was mushy and had no flavor, and the two fried pork gyoza were the only semi-enjoyable thing in the box. It also came with four California rolls, which were just okay, nothing special.
I also ordered a seafood boil, and it was a complete waste of money. It came with tiny, low-quality crawfish that had no flavor, crab legs that weren’t good at all, and absolutely no seasoning on anything. To make things worse, they didn’t provide any proper crab leg crackers, so I had to struggle with a plastic fork and wooden chopsticks to get anything out. The potatoes were unseasoned, the one egg it came with was bland, and the shrimp was surprisingly good, but that was about the only thing worth eating.
The only real highlight of my order was the spicy crawfish rolls and California rolls, which were actually pretty good compared to everything else. I also got pork gyoza on the side, which was okay, but at this point, I had already made up my mind that this was one of the worst Asian restaurants I’ve ever been to.
To top it all off, even though I dined in, they gave me to-go plates, plastic utensils, and wooden chopsticks—like I was just supposed to take my food and leave. Eating everything in one sitting with that setup just made the experience even worse.
Honestly, I would have been better off buying frozen food from Walmart and heating it up at home. I definitely won’t be coming back, and if you’re looking for a good Japanese restaurant, go to Koi Sushi instead. They have way better food, better service, and an actual dining experience that’s worth your...
Read moreI reviewed the menu online on UberEats and just placed an order for store pickup. I ordered 2 fried rice meals with steak and sushi. I was a little confused by the menu because it was showing to add eggs and other ingredients to the rice. All of the fried rice I've eaten usually has eggs, vegetables, and green onions. So, I did not select that option in UberEats thinking that was just extra added ingredients. Well, when I picked up my food and got home I just had plain fried rice. There was no eggs, vegetables, green onions, or anything. It was just plain fried rice. The steak was really good, the sushi was good, and the miso soup was fair. There wasn't that much flavor in the soup. As someone else mentioned, the outside of the restaurant is not up to par. It could definitely use some landscaping. Overall I give the restaurant a B, but I won't be going back. For the price I paid, I expected more for my money including the yummy sauce. Each plate only came with 1 and extra was $.75 each. The $20 plates do not come with a beverage, so expect to pay separate for that. I hope you all find this...
Read moreCame in here after reading a review from the Sun herald and I'm so glad we did!!! Everyone was so polite and sweet. Greeted us immediately when we entered and explained how to order and can sit anywhere. Everything is made in the back so there's no hibachi tables but that's okay! It's stationed as if it's primarily focus is take out/delivery (via GrubHub, door dash, etc). My husband got the hibachi steak and chicken L7 lunch and loved it. Chicken was flavorful and steak was cooked as ordered. The only drawback was the vegetables were a little too much cabbage for his liking and not enough broccoli. Again, a personal experience. Not a deal breaker. My son got hibachi fried rice with 2 crab rolls. Devoured most of it and saved some for later. The portions were very filling. I got the Godzilla roll, tuna roll, and California roll. All had amazing fish to rice ratio as well as fresh!
We will deff be back and so glad this location finally has a good quality restaurant with...
