I definitely do not recommend them to anyone. They did not finish the job and they do not want to give me my money back. I was financially ripped off, humiliated and abused. I need to tell you the whole story so you know who you are dealing with. My quote was $1,600.00. So I asked for a discount if I could pay all in cash, the total was $1,400.00. Well, on the scheduled delivery date, I tried to call the shop to find out what time I could pick up my car. The phone did not work, I had dropped the car off on Saturday and it was Monday at 5:00 PM. I went back to pick it up and the car was not ready, at least they should have let me know. I had to pay to get it to Gulfport. The appointment was again for Tuesday, and the same thing happened again. I did not pick up the car until Wednesday at 9:00 PM. However, the project did not go as expected and I went back again to make some improvements. I needed a battery and a power supply. He (Everett) charged me another $600.00. The power supply cost $125.00 and the battery $250.00. So I decided to buy the battery elsewhere and paid another $300.00 for the power supply and the installation of both. They told me that when the power supply arrived, they would call me. They never did. I kept insisting that they finish the job, so I left the car for another day. He only installed the battery but still had to put the battery box on, and he told me that he had ordered the wrong power supply. He charged me another $150.00, which was not what was agreed upon, and he did not issue an invoice. Furthermore, the total amount of everything exceeded the amount he would have charged me to do the job with all his equipment. Once again, I waited for them to contact me to do the installation. Two months went by and I always got the same answer: they were busy and would call me. When I insisted, he said I could come and he would do the work. I waited until the shop closed for service and no one came to talk to me. I think they were drinking and doing drugs in there. I could be wrong, but there wasn't enough work for them to not do my car. Everett wasn't in the shop. Tony was there and didn't want to do the work. He just stood there the whole time doing nothing and giving me no explanation as to why the work couldn't be done. So when the shop was closing, I asked for my money back and he said he couldn't do anything because he wasn't responsible. A few days went by and the same thing happened. I kept calling and they never answered, or if they didn't answer, they said they would call me back in a few minutes and then never called me back, or they told me I should wait for them to call. Until Tony said he was fired and that he was busy and couldn't do the job and told me to call Everett because it was his job, but he told me he wouldn't and that he would charge me for it because he was fired, but I insisted that I had paid him for the job, and he had the nerve to tell me that I had a good discount and that he wouldn't do the job because I didn't have sex with him, the call is recorded, and this week we have a court meeting, strange that I couldn't sue the company because it has been inactive for a long time, and then the person responsible will be sued, anyway, everything I've been through is very sad, I hope justice is served. and another detail he installed the battery without putting a charge because the sound...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreDonāt waste your time with this place. It was a good business years ago but times have changed. Went in and paid for a ādiagnosticā because my door speakers arenāt working (amp is stuck in protection). While I did not fully explain the situation because she stated they were going to do a diagnostic, I thought theyād find the issue. However, all they did was turn my bass up (different amp) and tell me my car was good to go. Afterwards, I told her what the actual issue was and she said they couldnāt get to it today. She then proceeded to recommend another place and said she was going to give me a refund. She gave me half of my money back because of the āwork he had doneā. Safe to say I will not be back at Sound Solutions ever again and wouldnāt recommend this place to anyone.
Response to owners reply: I love responses as such from owners. Just goes to show the level of respect for customers. You are correct regarding the fact that I did not purchase any of the equipment from your business. However, over the course of 15+ years, I lived in the state of Mississippi and had multiple dealings with your business. At least three of my vehicles had sound systems in which I purchased from you and you guys installed everything. Dating back to when I was in high school and Matthew Fortenberry was an installer at your establishment. It was these past experiences that led me to come to you guys while i was in Mississippi over the weekend. Now to get to the details of the matter at hand. A diagnostic should be a thorough inspection to ensure all areas are functioning properly. As a universally certified hvac technician, I would not do a diagnostic on your ac equipment in which I did not check the components of your condenser as well as evaporator. To be more detailed, I was charged $84 for the diagnostic in which I assume is what you charge for an hour. My vehicle was taken for approximately 10-15 minutes and brought back around. If your team did not have time for the full hour you charged me for, that could have easily been stated prior to taking my vehicle. I did not āthrow a fitā regarding the situation but I do feel as if that is bad business. And while she stated sheād give me half of my money back, 37 isnāt half of 84. Also, some of the statements you made are not true. I have a 19 Acura. There is no spare tire. While the 4 channel amp is under the subwoofers, the back seat was down and that amp was also visible. I understand you sticking up for your employees but there is no need to give misinformation regarding the incident. If you canāt take negative feedback you should do some self reflecting. Do better and have...

I had a highly disappointing experience at Sound Solutions in Gulfport. Initially, I was greeted and helped by two employees who were professional, friendly, and patient. The first employee, a younger guy who seemed new to the job, was incredibly polite and eager to assist. Even when he didnāt know an answer, he would ask his teammates for clarification, showing a genuine willingness to help. The second employee, a Navy veteran, was equally kind, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic about helping me understand my options. At this point, I was excited to potentially work with this store for my car audio needs.
Unfortunately, my final interaction with another employee completely ruined my experience. This individual, a tall, skinny Black man with dreadlocks, whom I believe is either a manager or senior technician, was rude, condescending, and unprofessional. His behavior toward both customers and his colleagues was appalling. He talked down to his teammates and, more importantly, treated me with complete disrespect. As someone who knows little about car audio, I came in ready to learn and potentially make a purchase, but instead of being guided through the process, I was met with impatience and hostility.
When I asked questions to better understand the products and services, this employee became visibly irritated, pushy, and even began raising his voice. He tried to gaslight me by accusing me of having an attitude, even though I was calm, polite, and genuinely trying to make an informed decision. His tone and demeanor were unnecessarily aggressive, and I left the store feeling angry and disrespected.
To make matters worse, the lack of employee presence was notable. When other customers came into the store, they had to wait a long time to receive assistance, which added to the poor experience. Iāve also noticed from reading reviews online that this store has a reputation for poor customer service, and based on my experience, I can see why. The responses to negative reviews from the storeās account reflect the same dismissive and rude tone I encountered with this particular employee, which makes me suspect heās the one replying to them.
Itās clear that this individual lacks the professionalism and temperament to work in a customer-facing role. While I understand that every business has bad days, the level of disrespect I encountered was unacceptable. I will never return to Sound Solutions and strongly encourage others to think twice before doing...
