Turner's Dual Lanes — Local services in Hagerstown

Driven by this place several times in the past, but today went to a tournament and finally got to see the inside. You walk in but have to walk around to the stairs that lead you downstairs to the main bowling lanes. Found out, the 1st floor lanes are duck pin!! Soooo awesome, haven't seen duck pins for years!!! Glad someone still has them for folks to enjoy 😉 there's a snack counter, drinks n snack machines....check the dates of the sodas BEFORE you pay $2.50 for a 20oz. On the down side- I wanted to purchase a drink from machine, until the dates caught my eye! Some were from 2024!?! If ya wanna buy, have at it, but I used to work at a sub shop and one of my duties was to, switch closer to sell date in front and latter dates in back and pull outdated or soon to be outdated sodas. This is a family owned bowling alley with 2 other locations (possibly 3, I'm not 100%) sure. Out of the ones I've been to, Dual Lanes are my favorite. Staff are friendly and helpful, everything is consistent. Lanes are well maintained. Regular specials and leagues. Fair pricing. Pro shop on second level with 10 pin, duck pin on top floor. Ample parking on 3 out of 4 sides of the building so never an issue with finding a space. Handicap accessible entrances. Snack bar with beer option on top and bottom levels. Lockers available. I believe they do rock and bowl on Saturday nights. The bowling was great, and the desk employees were kind and helpful. HOWEVER. I am completely disgusted by the hygiene behind the counter of the food bar. The woman running it handled my cash and receipt- no gloves- and she went on to handle multiple foods straight out of the freezer with her bare hands. She pulled fries out of a bag- no gloves, no sink in sight, no hand sanitizing- and while they were frying, she cut someones sandwich- again, none of the above.
