Lil Buddys Caribbean Market — Local services in Haines City

I hear that LIL BUDDY in here operates like he's king tut, but l'm looking at the reviews and I'm seeing good reviews, so I will go easy, because I dunno the full story, but I heard a talk.... live in NY, btw, but like I mentioned to everyone ... I heard this one(owner).. alone wanna act like he's a monopoly and no one else could conduct business or give advice to a person in need!! Or just making conversation, OR chit chat as some would say....with people outside the store. Supposedly, that's stealing business, heh hehhh heh. Like I said... I mind my own business around here.... just heard this talk from a person who knows another person who knows another person.....so I just found it funny, when....this certain individual told it to someone, who then told it to someone else, who then told it to me....so I figured I just placed a review...learn to have respect when speaking to your elders! I recently visited Caribbean Market with the intention of buying Ackee. When I didn’t see any on the shelf, I approached the counter and asked the lady if they had any available. She said yes, then pulled one can from under the counter and told me I could only purchase a single can because they had only five left and “needed to have enough for everybody.”

Since when is this a thing? I came in ready to buy three cans, along with other items already in my basket. At that point, I emptied my basket and told her she was turning away a paying customer. What if no one else shows up that day to buy the remaining cans? That’s a lost sale for no good reason.

Most business owners prioritize sales and customer satisfaction — unfortunately, that was not the case here. I work in Orlando, and from now on, I’ll be getting my Ackee from the Caribbean market on West Colonial. At least there, they’re in business to actually sell the products they...

WONDERFUL STORE!!! FANTASTIC MANAGEMENT/ OWNERS!!

My mother and I decided to stop by Lil Buddy’s and we were surprised to see that it has new owners and management. However, Emmanuel went ABOVE AND BEYOND with his stellar customer service and exuberant personality!

Not only did he offer to take our very heavy groceries to our vehicle, in the blistering HEAT - 95 degree Florida weather y'all, but he also was excellent in answering our questions and finding the products we needed. And as we were shopping for my grandmother, we definitely needed to be precise with the items we bought. Emmanuel helped us get everything we needed and (more lol)
