Sabrosura 718 Restaurant — Restaurant in Florida

On the 30th Dec my family and I went to eat at this place, it was our second time. Food was a bit weird _rice was dry and beans were tasteless, steak was very strange but tasted ok. My daughter had the white rice red beans and sweet plantains, my hubby had the onion steak and rice and beans, with Yuca. I had the Mofongo with shrimps and was waiting for carne frita that I ordered but never received it. That was a nightmare, because when we arrived home, later on that night we felt the symptoms of food poisoning. We were in the bathroom since 2 am till the night of new years eve-diahrrea, and the most horrible stomach cramps ever. My daughter only had a little piece of the meat so she only had a little stomach ache and only went twice to bathroom with slight symptoms. I've never felt this way before, I hope that none of you ever experience this. Could be that the steak was old and possibly they tried to make it last by putting something on it. Please...

I heard so many good reviews! I thought I would be amazed by the food and well.. I wasn’t. The picture looks better than what it tasted like. The chicken was very unseasoned and lacked taste. I’m surprised this is a Spanish place that specializes in Spanish food. The chicken tasted perhaps like it was left out for too long. The rice, beans, and maduros were excellent ! The salad wasn’t what I expected and saw in the pictures. It was a lot of peppers. I know how to speak Spanish and I specifically ask for dressing on the side. They didn’t give me any. I wanted a taste of Spanish food while here on my travels. Honestly didn’t live up to its name sake. It wasn’t only my opinion, but someone who tried the chicken as well. It was pretty bad. This was my first time eating at this location. I want to say first of all once I stepped inside the restaurant I can see people working really hard . Second of all the bathroom was so clean and fresh. Third and Final the Food tasted good Fresh and the Presentation of the meal was AMAZING. This has to be for me the hottest FOOD SPOT to be in if you don’t stop by and visit this restaurant your crazy. Fill this restaurant up tell everybody about them it’s definitely a hidden Jewel.
