About a year ago my husband and I went to Sam's Furniture and leased to own a recliner and had an excellent experience. The staff was very friendly and for being a new customer they gave us a free box of chocolates! After we paid off the lease we received a hand written card thanking us with a scratch off lotto ticket inside. They surprised us with their kindness and it definitely made us feel like Sam's really valued their customers. I already had my mind made up where I was going the next time I needed more furniture.
Fast forward a year and we've just moved into a new house. We needed an entire living room set and a mattress. We went to Sam's Furniture with our living room set already picked out, paid in full that day. We already spent a chunk on the living room furniture but really needed a new bed so we decided to lease one so we could get everything on the same day.
After receiving the furniture I'm having a horrible time sleeping on the new bed. I can't sleep more than five hours, waking up every time I toss and turn in pain. I was exhausted every day that I actually had to go back to sleeping on my old bed. Called up Sam's Furniture, figuring since it's been just under 30 days they would exchange to something else no problem. Wrong. They informed us that we had no choice but to either keep the bed for 90 days before they would accept the return or I could make the next two months lease payments and they'd come get it. On one hand I understand because that $350 they will lose when they resell it as a used bed but on the other hand I'm going to lose $350 on a bed I can't even sleep on. The money I will have paid on this bed would not go towards my next bed. I've decided that once I have paid the 3rd or 90 days payment I will not be getting another bed from them. Mattress Firm will exchange a bed no questions asked at any time in a year, I will be taking my business with them. This really disappoints me because otherwise Sam's Furniture has been great but in this case they care more about getting their money than their customers satisfaction....
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSTAY AWAY!!!!! We had purchased what was supposed to be a brand new washer and dryer from this company. Upon delivering there where several key features (the logo was worn on the dryer and the dryer did not come with the specified drying rack) that pointed out these may have been used and where not in fact brand new. When asking we were told they were brand new from the warehouse. Upon using the washer we noticed that it was not working properly, vibrating very badly and the soap, bleach, and softener dispenser where not draining properly. When using the dry sense on the dryer it turned off after about 10-15 minutes of use and did not dry the clothes completely. When contacting the company they sent out a technician, who stated that there were problems with both the washer and dryer and that he would request new ones to be sent to us. We have been given the run around for the past 2 weeks. We were informed as of yesterday 4-09-13 by the owner Herb Weisblatt whom stated "they have done enough for us and that our accusations were not correct" He then stated "we would be given a FULL refund including the delivery charge as of 4-09-13". They are scheduled to pick up their merchandise on 4/11/13. When speaking with the representative to confirm the pickup, she stated that per the owner Herb Weisblatt, we were not to be refunded until they receive the merchandise. This company has lied to us for the past 2 weeks, claiming that a new set would be delivered to us. Then out of the blue calls to tell us we were lying about the washer and dryers "condition", then lies to us about refunding us on 4-09-13. When we found that to be false, we immediately called our bank to dispute the charges. These people are crooks! They are owned and operated by family so put the word out there that the WEISBLATT family are nothing but a bunch of crooks and liars. We will be telling everyone we know what happened to us and hopefully put these people out...

I had called Samās furniture and asked to please pull up my brotherās order from last year and to duplicate the order for my 91 yo mother. When they came they brought an adjustable frame. That is all they brought. I asked them where is the correct frame and mattress. He stated this is all there is. I called the store and spoke to several people. Rose finally took the call and told meā¦We donāt carry that frame anymore. Do you think anyone called me to discuss the change?? Heck no. Then I said where is the mattress and she stated āThere were too many people that worked my order and all this was missed.ā Huh??? I asked her to deliver the mattress forthwith as my 91 yo mother had just gotten home from the hospital and needs her bed. She told me they could deliver it Tuesday January 30th. After explaining once again how they had screwed up and we have to have her bed they said they would call me back. The delivery guys were still here and promised they would have a bed there by the end of day. They called back and told me they could deliver her mattress today. Well low and behold they sent the wrong mattress. Needless to say I am extremely disappointed in this entire transaction. Samās apology was lame. I asked for a 10% off due to all of their issues and she actually laughed. Over the years we have done a lot of business with them. Paul Wisblatt would not be happy with this transaction. Neither would Sam. I can not bring myself to ever return to this business. This entire transaction was their fault...
