China Wok — Restaurant in Hamden

So today 10/24/24. I ordered online like I usually do. I put my card information in and submitted my order but somehow there was an error and the order didn’t go through but a hold was still placed on my debit card. I go to the restaurant to see if I can get an explanation as to why this happened. The young girl that works at the front had poor customer service skills and poor professionalism. I asked to speak to the manager or owner all restaurant have a manager and an owner. For some reason the girl found it funny that I asked to speak to a manager. She said the manager wasn’t there. Than the delivery guy came inside and she smiling at him and kept saying who is the manager like she’s making a joke out of it. The delivery guy explained to me about the transaction pending and it should fall off in 3-5 days if it doesn’t come back to the restaurant to get my refund. My question is why the girl couldn’t have just said that. She have a nasty attitude. She was so rude and unprofessional. I order online all the time from the same website for years and she try to tell me that wasn’t there website. And kept laughing like something was funny. I ordered $39 and change worth of Chinese food this time. The other two times I ordered $51 and $47 almost $150 worth of food in 2 and a half weeks and I only received a free soda one time. I had no idea that anything over $35 I'm supposed to receive a free soda so I called and told them that I didn't receive a free 2L soda I was told that I didn't ask for one and I said but why do I need to ask for one it says you get a free 2 L soda soda with orders over $35 I've only received one free 2 l soda I would like my soda please and I was told it's too late I didn't ask. This is a complete rip off you spend enough money for everything these days including food and to be told that you are not entitled to something that they are giving you, because you're being ripped off. I will never be ordering from this restaurant again. My first issue occurred when I was picking up my order. I walked in, placed and paid for my order, the woman at the window told me it’ll be 10 min. I come back to pick up the order only for the same woman that cashed me out try to get me to pay for my order again. My second issue occurred when I got home to eat. I ordered beef fried rice..the beef wasn’t fully cooked. I called the restaurant to get my rice replaced they seemed annoyed at the request but offer to give me another order of rice.
