Well ... it isn't a fluke; after my first experience with Shaun I can say I will absolutely not go anywhere else for any computer issues I have.

Shaun managed to bring my Macbook Pro back from the dead after I knocked a lot of water on it (!). He had me come right in (even before he technically opened for the day), dried out the internal components, got all of my folders backed up, and managed to the get the computer working again. I was pretty shocked, to say the least.

As a person, Shaun is not only extremely knowledgeable, he's a ridiculously nice guy with the patience of a saint. So many computer shops you go to just radiate this "no bleeps given" vibe, and that couldn't be farther from the case here. Shaun doesn't just understand computers, he understands people, and knows how stressful a major computer problem is. When you bring him on to fix something Shaun gives consistent updates as to how things are progressing and even comes back to the shop after closing to make sure your files are transferring properly. It feels like you have a partner helping you through the problem at each step, which is pretty remarkable. And even more remarkable, Shaun did this all for me at an extremely reasonable price. Recently started having problems with my Dell laptop's keyboard. I really wanted to get it fixed but didn't want to send it away to Dell or bring it to a chain company, like Best Buy. So, after some online research I found Quick-Tech. I called and spoke to the owner, Shaun, on the phone and explained my problem to him. He said to bring it by so he can take a look at it. A few days later I stopped by with my laptop and Shaun gave me a quick consultation. He was honest and knowledgeable. I decided after meeting Shaun and getting that consultation, that I would go ahead and have Shaun fix my laptop. He ordered the part and about a week later he called me to drop off the laptop. The laptop was fixed and ready to pick up 2 days later. I picked it up and it worked great! I am so happy that I decided to choose Shaun & Quick-Tech to fix my laptop. Also, Shaun was very reasonable with the pricing. He asked me to pay money up front, then I paid the rest when I picked up the fixed laptop. As a customer you usually don't like paying money upfront before a service is completed, but I trusted Shaun and understood his reasoning behind doing this. I have used Quick-Tech 5 times in the last 5 years. Each time it has been an emergency situation ranging from software to hardware issues.

Shaun has saved multiple hard drives, recovered data that other places told me couldn't be recovered and has salvaged projects from hardware that had no business being accessible or fixable.

This most recent time I took him a Mac after visiting Apple who claimed it was a hardware issue rather than software and there was nothing they could do.
