Extremely satisfied with the purchase and installation experience we had with Chris and his team on our Marvin Windows.

What started as a quick drop-in just to take a look at a window that another window company was offering turned into Chris taking the time to walk me through some additional options and products I wasn't aware of, which then led to him offering to drive to our house -- over an hour away from their office -- to get measurements.

After providing us with our estimate, there were three big selling points. First, the cost (even with several added asks that were going to be easier to take care of with the windows out) came in almost $4,000 less than the company I was originally planning on going with -- and that's with us being outside of Frederick, MD. Second, knowing that Schmuck uses their own in-house install crew versus bringing on day laborers made us much more comfortable knowing who was going to be coming into our home, and knowing Schmuck would be willing to stand behind their install work since they were their own employees. Finally, because we wanted to have the interior wood custom stained to match our existing trim, Chris arranged to have the windows delivered in advance of the install so I could work to get the staining completed beforehand.

When it came time for the install, Chris worked with me on the timing after the staining was done and was able to work around my work from home schedule. The installation crew was punctual, professional, and answered any questions that I had. Before they wrapped up, they made sure I was satisfied with how everything went.

Given how hot it was this summer, our new Marvin Elevate Windows made a huge difference in keeping our house cool and reducing how often our AC was running. We are very glad that in the end we chose to go with Schmuck Lumber because no one else was able to match what they were able...

This company has been a trusted local business in Hanover for generations! So they were the 1st people we called to come give us an estimate on our home. It is a rancher and we wanted siding, gutter, spouting and fascia! Steve came out to look it over for an estimate. He immediately told us we were looking at a lot of money. Which surprised us with that comment. Well weeks went by and finally Steve called us with an estimate it was a huge amount of money!! We were blown away! Thankfully we have knowledge in this type of thing and knew it was an insane quote!! Well we found out that they don’t want to handle siding jobs any longer but instead of just telling us that, they figured they screw us over if we were dumb enough to pay it!!! Thankfully we found Miller Property Services and he did LP siding, Certainteed vinyl board and batten and shakes along with spouting, gutter and fascia! And a new roof all for 10,000.00 less than the quote for just siding from this Schmuck!!! This company should be ashamed of themselves! We always try to support Hanovers local businesses but we will not support Schmuck any longer and I’m sure to let everyone know what a dishonest company this...

We went with Schmuck for windows and doors for our home. We went into the show room and saw our options. Chris came to our home to get measurements and get us an estimate. He was very professional and friendly. There was no pressure at all. He followed up with our quote and we choose to have them do the installation. The men who did the install were professional and did a good job. We had all of our windows and a sliding glass door replaced. The sliding door gave them some trouble and I think it took more time than they planned, but there was no additional cost to us. We honestly didn't shop around, but the service was great and the prices seemed reasonable. Much better than dealing with the pushy folks that come to our door and try to schedule an estimate. Great service...
