The prices are good, the quality is good, but the employees have been rude at times, not all of them, but some. I don't know why everyone else thinks they're so great. They literally throw your stuff in the cart. Sitting down on the job doesn't improve their attitude much. Then there's the terse correction if you leave items in a hand basket on the conveyor. I really don't care for needing a quarter just to use a cart either, somehow, other stores don't need to do that. You have to bag everything yourself after they've chucked it in your cart. No problem. They'll probably go self-checkout at some point. The isles are fairly narrow too. They went through all that trouble to remodel and you can still be easily blocked by one customer in front of you. The register wait is hit and miss. Sometimes the line is long and they are slow to react, and they almost always wait until there is a problem before opening an additional register. A lot of places do that though. Update: So my review sounds brutal, right? Well, the prices and quality have won me over. Staple food items such as, bread, eggs, milk, condiments, snacks etc., are cheaper than anywhere else. The L'Oven Fresh bread at $1.29 a loaf compares well to Pepperidge Farms that sells for over $3 a loaf at most places. Many items are half the price of Giant Eagle or Wegmans, or even less. That's not to say on everything is a steal, but overall families can...
Read moreThe produce prices are the best. Raspberries in December? $1.29 for a small container. I brought 6 and they were gone in 3 days as my son and I each had one each day for dinner. I come here for the convenience of a smaller grocery store with fewer options, better prices and still that little bit of splurge buying on kids toys/neat gadgets. My son loves legos and I usually wait for the discounted price before I buy. The last time I went here for those he got 20 Lego people (off name brand but thats fine)for $7!!! Sometimes it's my kids and me coming here and sometimes just me. Taking a 4&5 year old into any store is rough for me but they are best behaved in here as there is not a great deal of extra room if they get away from me to run and hide. I love the convenience and especially the lock carts. The carts put generosity to use. People will give you a cart and tell you to keep your quarter making you feel so good inside also causing you to pay it forward to someone else. There have been carts left unlocked for the time when no one is on their way in when the patron leaves the store to give it to. It is so worth the smile on the face of the recipient of a free cart. I love the concept and more stores should...
Read moreThe buckles and straps on these carts aren't safe for little ones. The cart that I had the buckles and straps were broken, and i have a 2 year old so without being strapped in he kept claiming out and fussing. If hes not strapped in its very hard to shop. Because of him trying to get out, the cart moves and im getting things off the shelf. So i get nervous of him falling out, so most of the time I had my two-year-old walking or I was carrying him. When it came time to switching carts at the register this one did have straps on one side but it was short and tight already at its full length. The other side had buckles missing. So what else can I do besides put my 2 year old on the table with my phone. Being perfectly fine and still watching his show while I package my items with my eyes on him. But a cashier told me to put him down and ik she's doing her job. But i was not happy, So not only is my son screaming from the straps being tight he's crying and very uncomfortable and luckily it didn't leave a mark. But he was more safe being on that table than he is in those carts. Please pay attention to things like that and fix them before a...
