Matts Watch & Jewelry Repair — Local services in Harlingen

BEWARE! I’m normally too lazy to leave reviews but I feel compelled in this case because of how quickly things went south in dealing with this man. First off, I didn’t catch his name but he appeared to be the boss / owner of this place so for now I’ll just call him Matt. I called prior to even showing up asking if they resized watch bracelets as that what I needed done. He said yes so i immediately headed to this place and was greeted by Matt when i arrived. I explained what i needed done and he said “no problem”. He took my watch to the back area and started “working” on it. Didn’t take long for him to come back and inform me that my watch bracelet pins “were no good”. This confused me as the watch is BRAND NEW. He showed me the pins and they were all bent up. This upset me as I figured he was too forceful in trying to remove them and thus he damaged them himself. Luckily I had extra pins at home so there I go back home to retrieve them. When I returned with new pins in hand , he had taken the liberty of installing the bracelet with some pins he must have had laying around. So that was fine but when he handed me my watch, I immediately noticed a bunched of scratches and tool marks around where the bracelet connects to the watch. Mind you , when he handed me the watch he said “here try it on before another customer gets here” as if to rush me. After seeing the damage to my brand new watch I said “ sir you need to slow down” ans showed him the damage. He looked at it as if I were imagining it and then said “this is nothing”!!! My blood started boiling as he was trying to gaslight me. I let him know that I was not happy at all and that I didn’t want him to work on my watch anymore and that I wanted to leave and he had the audacity to raise his voice with me! UNBELIEVABLE!!!! So in summary , he broke my brand new watch pins , made me go home to get new ones, scratched the hell out of my watch , denied it , did not apologize at all and then gave me attitude. Not to brag but this watch is not cheap and this hurts me to look at. Matt was completely unprofessional and rude. If you’re in need of watch repair , I would NOT go here at all. You’ve been warned. I have gone their several times to fix a chain and have asked them for touch up any spots with imperfections instead the whole thing came back feeling looser and he charges me more and more each time because I’m young , what I’m saying is he ruined a chain and without my knowledge or permission removed about 3 inches of gold from it, I wanted to die , I could’ve taken this to someone else and they would have done it better but I trusted this man for the last time, do not go here incredibly unprofessional, also made me wait two days when I had a scheduled pick up date because he was on vacation (didn’t reimburse me either) old man is very condescending and seems...

I've been using Matt's jewelry repair for all my jewelry needs for about 3 years now they have the best customer service I've ever seen pretty pretty displays they carry a little bit of everything.
