I was thankful that they were able to accommodate me past my scheduled appointment time due to unforeseen circumstances. However, I was quite surprised by the service I received for a basic manicure. I patiently waited for an hour after my rescheduled appointment time, which I understood given my situation today.

That said, there were small but important moments that made me question the level of customer service. The nail tech implied to run my own exfoliation gel on my hands. I was unhappy with the initial polish application and explained my concern, but was met with confusion. I didn’t have the chance to photograph the first attempt, but it didn’t look professional. She removed the polish and redid it, yet the result was still not to my liking.

What ultimately convinced me not to return was when another nail tech asked mine for the fan she was using to dry my nails for a client who had arrived after me. My tech allowed her to take it without finishing my nails, and instead used an envelope to fan them as if that were an adequate substitute.

I really wanted to like this place. The ladies inside greeted me when I walked in and seemed nice. I made an appointment for a dip manicure at 4pm but did not leave until after 6pm. They also charged me $5 more than what they quoted on the phone, perhaps they charged to remove the manicure that I had on my nails, which was already more than half off. They had me wrapped in acetone for an hour. Finally, my manicure began after 5pm. My manicurist asked the woman in charge how to do the manicure at each step. She did a decent job, but took too long and butchered my cuticles (see picture). She probably knew I was bleeding because she didn't finish off with any lotion or massage, but I was so late for my plans, I didn't care and ran out. I still tipped because I know they work hard. My cuticles were raw when I left, but i thought it was from all the soaking and filing. When I got my keys out to open my door, there was blood on my keys. That's when I took the picture. I have been a client since their grand opening. The owner and all staff members have been gentle, respectful and very attentive to my needs. Everything I ask and/or need, they make sure to go above and beyond so I get it. I feel safe and joyous when I’m at the salon—because I know, I’d come out with PRETTY nails.
