Food Lion — Local services in Harrisonburg

The staff at this FL were kind and respectful. I have more issue with the online ordering. I thought I was ordering straight from the deli with the online "to go" option. It turned out I was ordering curbside service - 😒 someone who would procure my items and have them ready at the front. When this employee went to get my chicken from the deli, it was not prepared because the deli did not receive my order. So, I ended up getting half my order and waiting another 20-25 minutes for the remainder. When I got home, I discovered that what what I had waited for was half of my order - 8 total chicken strips instead of 16. I paid for all. This is a poor system. Moreover, the manager told me it would probably only take a few minutes for the remainder of my order. Meanwhile, I had a van of 8 children waiting outside (with adults). I had put in the order at 11 and came to pick it up at 12:45. I did not leave the store until 1:10. I was disappointed. On a side note, the chicken itself was tasty but the size of the tenders was small...

I recently moved so the Food Lion on Route 33 is not my closest one now. This one is now 5 minutes away from my house.

This is the second time I’ve came here to look for a specific item that I always hope it is in stock… NOPE! Last time, I came for Rice Krispys and found absolutely nothing. I decided to go to Walmart and got them there. Just a waste of time and hassle even stopping by here. Today, same thing! I was looking for Takis and I did not find anything in the chips aisle. I did the same thing as last time, I went down to Walmart and got them there.

It seems that this specific location has restocking issues like I’ve never seen before. I don’t think that the manufacture is low on inventory when it is literally in stock everywhere else.

Waste of my time and gas even stepping a foot inside...

Wow! 💯 I had the best experience today at this Food Lion. I arrived and it was lightly raining. This store had 2 employees outside with umbrellas to help shoppers from the parking lot to the store, and also as they left. I mentioned how much that was appreciated at checkout and the cashier said she would left her manager know. I hope she did. [Side note I was at that particular Food Lion to get items for a friend who is a GM for a local Wendy's. I told her my experience and she said that is a managers choice, a GREAT manager, and she will start shopping at this location.] Also both employees with the umbrellas were smiling, and it felt like they were happy to offer...
