Imperial 42 — Restaurant in Harrisonburg

IF I COULD GIVE LESS THEN 1 STAR I WOULD . I USUALLY DONT TAKE TIME OUT TO DO THIS EVER WITH ANYTHING, UNLESS I I HAD A BLATANLTY BAD EXPERIENCE, OR ITS A DOCTOR/INDIVIDUAL INVOLVES. MOSTLY HEALTH OR PROESSIONAL DISCREPENCYS. WELL IN THIS CASE , FOOD POISIONING.

HOLIDAY WEEKEND (XMAS EVE, I BELIEVE, MAYBE XMAS DAY) NOTHING ELSE OPEN REALLY IN HARRISONBURG. THIS WAS " top rated" CHINA FOOD IN TOWN. SOMEHOW. (TRY NOT TO LAUGH AT HOW CLICHE AND HUMORUS THIS IS, BUT ALL JOKES ASIDE) I ORDERED A PU PU PLATTER (APPETIZER TRAY!!!!. .NOT SUPPOSED TO HAVE ANY KIND OF "PU PU" OR CAUSE ANY!!) AND BEEF CHOW MEI FUN.

I DONT KNOW WHATTT TYPE OF ACTUAL MEAT WAS REALLY USED FOR THE BONELESS RIBS, AND "BEEF" IN BOTH PORTIONS. THE ONLY THING THAT WASANT COMPLETLE TRASH WAS THE CHEESE WONTONS. EVERY THING ELSE TASTED OLD, RE USED , OR RE COOKED, AND HONEST TO GOD, NOT CHICKEN , BEEF OR PORK. THIS WAS SOME OTHER TYPE OF MYSTERY MEAT. THE BEEF CHOW MEI FUN, HAD A ROTTEN TASTE AND IF YOU ASK ME THIS IS WHAT GOT AND HAS HAD ME UNABLE TO PROCESS ANY FOOD INTO SOLID WASTE THE PAST WEEK. BEEN ABOUT A WEEK NOW, THE BUG .. It's been eleven years that I've consistently depended upon this family business for my oriental fare. Over that time I've seen the birth of their children (who are frequently there when I pick up my orders) and have made an effort to be a known entity. I know that there are usually two people cooking and one at the register. I know that because I live within a mile of the place, my orders (when delivered) are hot and tasty. When I go for a pick up order, I've been rarely disappointed (and usually when I try something out of my comfort zone). Their soups are always good; especially the chicken corn, or chicken rice. Their general's chicken and their Kung Pao are also reliable. Their shrimp dishes are subject to the quality of the shrimp and my wife has always been happy with their beef dishes. They are quite willing to respond to requests (I can't tolerate MSG) and only once did they make something inedible (due to the presence of it in a dish) and they offered me something else when I mentioned the problem to them on my next visit. I will continue to support...

Ordered food and about an hour later got a phone call from someone from Steven Toyota saying that my food was wrongly delivered to them. I called Imperial 42 to let them know of this mistake and I got rudely told to call the delivery driver myself(I guess they couldn't fix their own mistake). After finally getting a hold of the delivery guy he showed up about 15 minutes later and still did not have the food. He eventually went back to Imperial 42 and about 30 minutes later I finally got what I ordered.

The food was okay...although I did find a large piece of string in my lo mein...yuck. The delivery guy was nice although he seemed confused but the employee I talked to on the phone was very rude and made me call to find a way to fix their mistake. They never did anything to fix their mistake; no discount, no additional side, no refund, and NOT EVEN AN APOLOGY!!!! Would not recommend eating here and if you are planing on having it delivered expect to end up waiting over 2 hours for it to arrive. Truly a disappointment, they need to really restructure their...
