riendly City Clay & Art Center exceeded my expectations on my first visit! My friend and I attended a group Wine and Wheel class for her birthday celebration, and we absolutely loved it. We were both shocked to leave with a usable piece—especially as first-timers trying our hand at throwing pottery! The length of the class was perfect, and since it was a Wine and Wheel night, the refreshments provided were delicious. The best part of the evening was the friendly and encouraging atmosphere. Everyone in the group was welcoming, and the instructors made the experience fun and relaxing. I highly recommend Friendly City Clay & Art Center for beginners or advanced pottery students looking for a fun night out or a more structured class session. Can’t wait to go back!

I have taken three clay oriented classes and each has been a creative challenge. I was always curious about throwing clay and finally got my chance to try it; I was satisfied to know how it's accomplished and even more in awe of those who do it well. The other two classes were hand-built projects and more my speed. What an incredible way to stretch your creativity with stencils and glazes while learning how to manipulate the medium. When the expectations and the results collide it is so amazing! I will continue down this path, I am fascinated.

Fantastic place to learn and work on your clay skills. They offer a great selection of classes, and all the teachers are very helpful and friendly. I took my second class here and focused on making lots of mugs for Christmas gifts.

Friendly City Clay has been a wonderful resource for my family. My daughter has taken the afterschool clay class several times, and it’s been great to see her gain confidence working in the studio. Also, the teachers have been kind and encouraging. Whenever my kids work with their hands, they have pride and joy in their creations, and it fosters independence through learning to work hard and think creatively. Friendly City has been an artistic outlet and resource for myself and my teenage son, as well. I’m really glad we have the space in...
