riendly City Clay & Art Center exceeded my expectations on my first visit! My friend and I attended a group Wine and Wheel class for her birthday celebration, and we absolutely loved it. We were both shocked to leave with a usable piece—especially as first-timers trying our hand at throwing pottery!
The length of the class was perfect, and since it was a Wine and Wheel night, the refreshments provided were delicious. The best part of the evening was the friendly and encouraging atmosphere. Everyone in the group was welcoming, and the instructors made the experience fun and relaxing.

I was always curious about throwing clay and finally got my chance to try it; I was satisfied to know how it's accomplished and even more in awe of those who do it well. The other two classes were hand-built projects and more my speed. What an incredible way to stretch your creativity with stencils and glazes while learning how to manipulate the medium.
