The doctors, aids, staff and most of the Nurses were excellent, except for 1 nurse. However, I was on the seizure watch floor and had a horrible experience with nurse Zullo. She kept me waiting over 5.5 hours for my meds. I needed a certain med at 6pm. I tried calling in to get my med. Told it was staff change. Waited and waited. Couldn't get my nurse at at. The virtual nurse called the doctor around 8:30 and he said give it immediately. However, the nurse Zullo ignored the MD order. I developed a panic attack with withdrawal symptoms. I'm a high fall risk and had to call to go to the bathroom. I called in and they shut off my call light. I had to get up myself. No toilet paper, used tissues I brought from home. I was then pacing due to my body's withdrawal. The aid and nurse were aware, but nobody tried to help me. I ended up in bed hyperventilating and had severe abdominal pain. Spoke with the floor nurse and was told my nurse would be right in. She wasn't. Finally around 11:30 at night I recieved my 6pm med, an anti anxiety med the doctor ordered at 8:30pm. The nurse came in put on the brightest lights and shoved a cup of pills at me. She didn't tell me who she was or what she was giving me. She never apologized or anything. I asked her who she was and made her go over the meds. She refused to talk with me, then got angry and was totally unprofessional. Said inappropriate things to me. My husband was on the phone with me and heard everything. I took the pills as she was running out of the room and I asked about my pain med. Without even turning around she said it was in the cup and left before I could respond. The light was left on. I had to call in again to get someone to turn lights off and get me my sweatshirt because I was cold. I was in pain all night. The aid came in at 3am to check my vitals. I told her I was still in pain and to tell the nurse. Nobody came to check on my pain. I had to stay one more night then discharged. 2 days later after being in constant pain I was diagnosed with an abdominal infection by my GI doctor. I was discharged the day before with abdominal pain. I needed to be treated with antibiotics. If it gets worse my doctor said I might need to go back into the hospital. I will not go back. I hope these pills take care of the problem. Still no pain medicine given.
If you get this nurse Zullo ask for a new one. She brings shame to the nursing profession. Luckily the nurse manager the next day listened to me, as well as the doctor. I got a different nurse the next night. Things didn't need to happen this way. The next night everything was fine. My nurse Laure was the best. I got my medicine on time. Please advocate for your loved ones and make sure they get their meds on time. It took a call to the virtual nurse, the operator, and many calls to nurse station to get attention. I was given the run around for...
Read moreThis was my first encounter with Dr Javed Khader Eliyas, Neurovascular Surgeon at Trinity Health of NE in Hartford . Before I even met anyone in the office I was contacted by the very kind office staff who worked diligently to set up an urgent appointment for me as quickly as possible and they generously did so. They also made me feel completely at ease about meeting with Dr Eliyas. As my actual appointment time approached I will admit I was extremely anxious due to a very daunting persistent diagnosis & due to a new rather alarming diagnosis. I was told Dr Eliyas would be able to address both of my issues which was perfect; no need for additional trips to different physicians. Another fear was driving to & parking at St Francis Hospital ( approx 45 mins from my home) but again the office staff gave excellent directions to assist me. Upon arrival to the office the receptionist staff greeted me pleasantly & quickly. Before I knew it I was whisked away to an exam room by the lovely medical assistant ( Iâm TERRIBLE with names so I apologize to all for not mentioning them). She checked my vitals, my med list, etc . Within a few moments came a knock on the door & Dr Eliyas politely introduced himself & asked permission for a student & a new nurse to the practice be allowed to join us. Being an RN myself, I of course welcomed them. Next we all went to a different room so that Dr Eliyas could show me my actual MRI/MRA films & while doing so he carefully & precisely explained the findings, all my options, asked several pertinent questions pertaining to my medical history & most importantly kindly asked how I was feeling & doing with all the overwhelming events I was experiencing. He was kind, patient, extremely knowledgeable & reassuring. He was able to give me options & was able to make me feel comfortable about my choices. He is expertly coordinating all the care & procedures I shall need in the near future & is reassuringly consulting with my other physicians to be sure to perform the safest options for my diagnoses. I cannot thank Dr Eliyas & his staff enough for taking me on as a new patient & as anxious as I am about whatâs to come, I feel I have been directed to the perfect team as I feel completely safe in his expert hands. I highly recommend Dr Eliyas to anyone requiring neurosurgery. Thank you to him...
Read more7-8-2020 Very rude representatives, never called back (after 2 days )when using their " next in line " feature until I left multiple messages. After trying every other option for 3 days, I left a message at another option & finally received a call back only to get a nasty representative on the phone who eventually HUNG UP on me. She, (Jan)wouldnt let me finished telling what was going on. Kept interrupting me. Now as I search for corporate office number, I'm sure I will have more difficulty. Bill from Feb, that was to be paid 100%,by insurance, physical with blood work. Lab put a code on a wrong line. So insurance denies it. Instead of notifying lab or even me or how about just f ou xing it!! Then they notified Trinity in FEB 2020. Who then doesnt send me a bill until JULY 2020, 1ST TIME, ONLY TIME, threatened to send it to a collection agency if not paid. (They said only was able to mail once, I said how about when u were notified in Feb, this was later on, they tried to pass buck onto insurances fault & no eob) I call insurance, the put to review board AFTER correcting error and gave me a date when it will be paid on, a week later 7/16/20 and Jan, (yes saying her name), says no we can not wait, I have to start paying! I said no, your company waits 5 months to send a bill and you cant wait a week! How much she heard of what I said, I'm not sure, because she kept interrupting me, maybe it will be read her!! I am now calling Corporate office. She heard I wasnt paying, because she said I would be reimbursed. Yea right, I'm suppose to believe that. I dont think so!! Ridiculous! Sorry so long, but a bunch of Bs, passing the buck, trying to ruin people's credit, incompetence, and excuses!!! Poor work ethics! Shame in your company!! Your customer service employees need to be retrained with a new training program, because as I read other reviews, the one in place isnt working! Thank you and good luck. I will try not to use your facilities whenever possible, until...
