I go there once a month when I'm low on food because they have a food share program which is a blessing to a lot of people including me but their process to get the food is very unorganized and because it's unorganized every time I go the people are arguing about someone taking their spot or someone in the line where that not supposed to be they have two security guards who are very nasty, and unprofessional, both Hispanic one of the security guards looks over other races and is favoritism to his own race,he would hold on to the lower numbers to give to the people he know meanwhile the people who were there waiting from 6:00 in the morning gets the higher numbers, last week I was supposed to be number four my bag was there in place like everyone else do I went to my car for a minute he started to give out the numbers I got up there just in time telling him I'm number four my bag is there, everyone else is telling him I'm number four I was there but he brushed them off and kept giving out the numbers, and the other security guard was telling them to mind their business,so I left without getting anything because the line was so long I would have been there for over an hour they need better security guards to keep the place organized or they're going to be seeing a lot more people leaving...

Very poor reflection on churches. My daughter went to this church that was close to her school after having a very bad day. She went to the confessional to talk to someone and maybe get a prayer for a woman at the church to approach her chastise her for sitting in the confessional and talking thinking someone was in there. She watched her enter and never told her no one was in there. She called the police on her embarrassed her caused a seem. All because she wanted to get something off her chest and request prayer. What type of church does that to people. Oh this one. Just unacceptable. This woman is...

I was a student at St. Joe’s from 1958 — 1967. My Italian mother made the decision for me to be brought up in the Roman Catholic tradition and schools. I ultimately rejected the culture. But the Sisters of Mercy were dedicated to their profession and they taught us well. I sang in the choir (under the tutelage of Edward Diamente) and recall the midnight Christmas mass with all the pageantry. I vaguely remember the day the old cathedral burned down. My mother was in terrible distress. It was a sad day for all who were members of the church. It’s unfortunate that the gothic nunnery on the left side...

This stop was not intentional. It happened to be on the route to another place I was going. Anytime I pass a Cathedral I have to stop in to see it. This Cathedral has had an addition recently with meeting spaces and handicap accessibility. The church itself has a very 1970s feel based on the giant stained glass windows and architecture. The side altars are adorned with life-size mosaics of the saint it is dedicated to. A beautiful place to experience the quiet and to say a prayer.

I like to attend mass at different CT Catholic churches, and this was #39. There is street parking and a lot behind the cathedral. The exterior is modern and 'cold', but the interior will take your breath away. Open, spacious, and modern but traditional in that it had the stained glass. It's all very grand and absolutely gorgeous. The ceiling lights are shaped like stars, and they look 3-D. This is one of the most amazing churches I've seen to date.

A beautiful place to worship. Outside is nice but the inside is where the view is. However you definitely don't want to be seated on the side, as there is a strong chance of sitting behind, or on the side of a pillar. Overall it is definitely a nice place for worship. The parking is limited, but during special occasions, like confirmations, they are able to use the parking lots of other churches and buildings nearby.
