I was facing a eviction and was referred to them because despite the housing court handing out flyers saying "you can now receive free counsel" this free counsel is only provided to zip codes in the north end of hartford. The attorney whos name ill leave out,knowingly was allowing the landlords lawyer to include fees which were to be removed in order to receive assistance. This led to discrepancies with the unite ct program which delayed the assistance being paid and we lost our home. This lawyer even told me that I shouldn't be concerned if the landlord got money he wasn't supposed to as long as I was getting my assistance. Well I ended up losing my home due to that and the fact that despite agreeing to have the program pay the back rent My agreement also said I'd be paying back 450 extra a month for my back rent and also having the program pay it. Well needless to say I couldn't pay that . The lawyer also didn't even show up to court the day of and I had to call him to tell him it was that days. After the court date we had questions and thus man would not return our calls until we caught him on the phone and you tell it was a call he didn't to deal with.
