Today was my first experience with DesignXChange and I had to write a review after having seen so many negative ones below. Within moments of walking in with my toddler, I was greeted right away with a smile and was not only asked as to what I was there to see but shown different themed rooms to meet the interest of myself and my young daughter. The staff was excellent in helping keep my daughter occupied and happy while I was able to examine the many items this store has to offer. I was surprised to see the beautiful array of furniture put together with collective decor to give each section it's own theme. I would not describe this store as a flea market, as there is a certain quality and standard if a high end retail store featuring pieces of furniture and decore that are just as unique as yourself. I know that I will be a returning customer here as everyone staffed were more concerned with my needs and my child's than just the items in the store. I really don't know who you think you are but you just treated my husband so rudely and condescending today. He came to have a piece of furniture looked at and you just told him he wasn't a customer he was a consignee. WHAT! When he asked a question about your protocol when pictures are sent he thought you circulated the pictures perhaps. She told him it was for inventory and was very offended by his question. Katie said by him asking that question he was unfriendly! My husband then told her you know who is unfriendly, you! He never was treated as a customer so badly before, ever. Oh wait, he isn't a customer according to Katie, he's a consignee! Apparently it is okay in your book of retailer etiquette to be rude to your consignees. Read moreWorst experience dealing with this store. I called the day prior and asked about some items to bring in and the lady was very short on the phone. (I tried not to believe she was just being rude to a new customer). I went in today and the two ladies at the front were very nice. They told me to head to the back, and again being my first time here I’m looking for where I need to be. I get to the back and two ladies are talking and just ignore me. I walk around a bit more and finally have to ask where I can find Katie. Well that was her and just as unpleasant in person as she was on the phone the day prior. No hello or thank you or good bye.
