Brought Snowblower in on 11/3 for repair. Was told that I would get a call within a week to know what's wrong and that service/fixing would take no more than 3 weeks. Never received a call from them. I made 1 call to Rob, the manager, on 11/17. He made excuse after excuse and talked over me; he kept on pointing out that I was the customer and I don't know what goes on here. I said fine, what's the bottom line. He guaranteed me that it would be done by 11/24. I received no call, again. I called on 11/25 and the repairman blasted me. He said there was no way that Rob would have guaranteed my blower to be fixed by 11/24, when there is 125 snowblowers in for service. I asked to be transferred to Rob. Rob made more excuses and said that he has 2 repairmen and that one was taken to the emergency room on Monday and almost died. I guess that was my repairman? He said it would be ready in another week. I told him I'll come and pick it up today and take it to Niemeyers. Fisher's Ace, Rob and the repairmen are completely dishonest. Had they told me up front that it would take more than a month to fix, I would have taken it to Niemeyers. Instead they now have lost a customer for good. I find it funny that they complain about Home Depot and Lowes putting them out of business, when they can't handle the business that we bring them. I tried to support a small local business but was given dishonesty in return. Actually, it turns out to be a benefit. Fisher's Ace was charging $80 for diagnostic work. Niemeyer's charges $40 and guarantees 1 week turnaround, plus time for parts shipment if needed and not...
Read moreWell the product itself was awesome. What lacks is customer service at Havertown location. You have a bunch of immature, lack of communication lack of customer service employees. They had to be in age bracket 17- 22 years of of age. So inappropriate they are. When asked a question about product they had no knowledge and literally laughed in your face. This behavior was only directed to African American people in which I personally experienced and also personally witnessed. They were no help at all. It was about 3 of them behind the counter. I literally said to one can I please get some respect along with customer service. It just not a good look for your business. Perhaps proper training is needed as the immaturity was demonstrated. You don't treat customer in such a way that is obviously racist. I will definitely continue to be an advocate for all people . The responsibility to provide and responsibility what not to accept is something that should Never be...
Read moreI've been shopping at Fisher's Hardware for long before they became an Ace Hardware Store. They have always given excellent customer service and been very helpful. Ever since I was a preteen in the late 1980s, tinkering in my parents garage all the way up to today as a 50 year old homeowner/DIYer, Fisher's has always been a great place that is staffed by helpful caring people that do whatever they can to make your project successful. Although their new location is more accessible and is probably better for everybody else, I do miss their old location at Drexelline Shopping Center, mainly because it was right around the corner from my house. But my loss is everybody else's gain because the location is definitely better. If only they carried lumber, then I would never have a need to go to Lowe's or Home depot. I can't vouch for every Ace Hardware store, but I can say Fisher's is a genuinely decent place to...
