I gave 5 stars for the M&T Bank crew ONLY. They are an awesome team who has great customer service. However inside of this mall i was profiled and chased down by mall cop. I had my support French Bulldog puppy in his stroller. This man came to me and pointed at him; asked if he was my pet. I answered, no sir he is a support dog. He then told me to make sure he didn't jump out his stroller on the floor. I was confused why he couldn't walk on the ground. Then I wonder how a blind person could bring their service dog in with the dog walking. After that shame on him moment of someone trying to give authority but not knowing the laws on what he was attempting to do; he then clearly harassed another young lady. He went right to her and said yes im going to follow you because you said you were leaving. This young girl was actually ordering food with a friend at the time. Needless to say I won't be spending much time there. He put my criminal justice degree and private Investigation degree to shame. I can't waste time proving him wrong nor do I want to waste money anywhere that any person is treated in that manner. Its also not exactly a mall in my opinion. It more of a inside strip mall. It has very little stores inside but it does have a few eateries inside. I did call the mall and leave a humbled message asking for a lady to call back for this issue that could save them potential law suits but of course no response back. Im assuming...
Read moreWhere so many malls are struggling, the Laurel Mall in Hazleton, PA continues to be the little mall that could! This mall features a nice variety of stores including anchors such as Boscov's and TJ Maxx, numerous specialty stores as well as a varied food court. I'm sure the mall's owners are proud to boast about their near full occupancy.
The Boscov's in this mall is the nicest I've been to. It is the best stocked, the best kept and has the friendliest staff. In addition to traditional department store offerings, a restaurant, candy counter, salon and an optical center round out the experience. Hazleton is fortunate that the late, great, Al Boscov opened such a nice store here for all to enjoy. I'm sure he is now wondering from above, "Did you Boscov today"?
The accessible Laurel Mall features ample parking which includes underground parking. Hotels, eateries and auto dealers are nearby. The mall is about 1.5 miles outside of the city...
Read moreThis review is for the mall specifically NOT any stores in the mall. I was at the mall waiting for the bus after shopping and was stopped for having a knife on my belt, it is not a weapon knife it is a tool I keep with me everywhere I go. I am an opportunistic hunter and fisher who needs this tool for my every day life. On top of this I was stopped by by a maintenance person who I believed over reached his authority. I come to this mall at least 2 times a week sometimes more for the last 6+ years and have never been told anything even when passing security and the owner. I can't afford not to have this valuable tool on me, the least they can do is set up a way I can have security or someone in the office hold my tool while I do my business. On top of that they sell actual weapons including ar15s and ak47s in some stores and have no signs stating no weapons until you are in the mall (witch feels...
