Your company was always the top and the best. Until today. My $1,100.00 lumber order was refused to be shipped by your Freehold NJ store and was handled wrong from the start.
Re: Ordered on May 22, 2020 , Order # WA88243673 (paid $78.00 for delivery) Email sent out May 28, 2020 confirming the order is out for delivery today. Did not arrive.
4:03pm called Hazlet NJ Home Depot, the store I ordered the large order from. After approximate 20 rings I got a hold of someone in Lumber. She took my order # and placed me on Hold. Then another associate from Lumber answered and stated it was attempted to be delivered, then stated, wait it was forwarded to Freehold NJ and gave me that phone number.
4:10pm called Freehold Home Depot Store after 20 rings, got a hold of someone in Lumber. She took my order number placed me on hold. She came back and stated the order was not shipped due to they did not have all the balusters.
I stated I needed the shipment today. The deck I was working on is now demoed, I need it no later then tomorrow. She stated it was not possible and she did not know when I would see this order, that she would call me back. She never did.
4:24 called Home Depot Corporate 800 number. I was placed through to an online specialist. I failed to get his name. I requested to speak with the Area or District Manager. He stated I couldn’t but lets try the Store Manager. The Freehold Store Manager did not attempt to contact me or spoke with me at all. After I was on hold for 20 minutes, apparently the store manager told the Online Specialist that I would have to wait until next Wednesday to get my $1,100.00 order with a $78.00 shipping fee. I mind you am livid at this point, I said that my order should come before anyone who placed orders after me and that it should be delivered by tomorrow.
I was told it does not work that way. I told him how displeased I am. That I am reaching out as far I can on this matter. I found everyone that I dealt with today just plain and simply did not care.
We canceled the $1,100.00 order, told him that Home Depot will lose 20 more customers too, he was more than happy to cancel the order .
We will be using a local Lumber Yard.
I requested an email from him confirming the cancellation and the Managers Name, he failed to send it. I am not surprised after this experience.
At the end of this month, I am redoing my kitchen and fencing in my back yard. Home Depot was always my first choose for any home project. After the treatment I received today I feel I will be taking my...

About two weeks ago i purchase 5 large items costing roughly 1,200 dollars. I purchased two vanities, two vanity tops, one kitchen cabinet. Well fast forward to present day. I call up the store to see where my items are and they said... word for word "there was a glitch" your order "failed" . Now I am at a loss for words because what the heck does that mean and why hasn't anyone called me. My house has bathroom supplies thrown around, items piled up in boxes, the kitchen is upside down do to it being prepped to replace a cabinet. I said can we fix this? The first person had no idea and transferred me to home depot credit. The credit card company said they couldn't do anything so sent me back to the store. The store in hazlet, nj finally said they messed up and re-ordered the order. Once it was all listed they asked for my cc#. But since i didn't even get the card yet in the mail i don't have one so i had to call the credit company again digitally sign all of these crazy documents just to get my number. Then I had to call Home Depot back to give the new card number to them. BUT.. Now the order hit and the sale items are now regular price. The credit card offer where i would save $100 on a 1k spent was non existent. So I call back to discuss this and then I get another email that the whole order was cancelled. Now they have no idea why it is cancelled and they mentioned that the card wasn't activated. Well i still have yet to receive the card and this order was supposed to be part of the new credit card offer. Needless to say i am over two weeks from when I ordered these needed items and I am left with nothing. Just a hurt credit score and zero home depot items. I cant do this any longer this took way too long (3hrs on the phone just today) and now they are costing me and my family way too much money. This was a major fail. I am willing to give you over 1k to just start my home remodeling and you cant fulfill what you promised. Nice FAIL home depot. I actually still have to return the two faucets and the other items that i purchased at a...
Read moreWent there yesterday and got what I needed but the guy Tony who works in the paint section could use some customer service training. My mother and I went in to buy paint for my babies nursery. After picking a color we proceeded to the counter where we were asked what finish we wanted. My mother politely asked what is the difference between flat and eggshell and he rudely snapped well it’s right there on the sample. My mother has been painting bedrooms my entire life and has just never seen the eggshell finish and wanted to know more about it. When she proceeded to say yes I see the difference but she asked for more details about it’s wipe-ability, shine and other details he did not give us any information he just said it’s right there on the sample. The sample is just a visual demonstration it did not have any written details on why you would use it over flat matte satin or the semi and high glosses. It’s like he didn’t know the information or couldn’t be bothered. She then proceeded to ask which of the mixture types of paint had the least odor he snapped and said well all paint smells. Thank you captain obvious but on your website some of the mixtures say low odor and since this is for a baby’s room we wanted to know how bad and how long approximately it’s supposed to last after it’s dry before allowing the baby in the room. After making our selections with no help from Tony he told my mom that it would be mixed in about five minutes he would leave it on the counter. My mom politely asked for paint sticks as she always does and he rudely pointed to the counter and said yea they are over there. You can’t just put the stick with the $100 worth of paint I’m going to purchase and not snapped at an elderly woman who just had a few questions since she hasn’t painted in a while? Rude rude rude. The paint is good quality but I’ll drive to a different location so I don’t get snapped at by Tony when making...
