There is parking here. Portions are generally large. The chicken parm and escarole side are very good. The salmon feels small by comparison. The chicken Murphy has potato chips that get soggy quickly-don’t get that dish. We disliked how the staff started to clear plates while people were still eating because we were a large party and hadn’t even been at the restaurant for an hour from our reservation so it seemed like the restaurant either tried to stack too many reservations or just weren’t trained that it’s rude and disruptive to clear plates while people are eating on them. The glasses are nice IKEA glasses. The plastic scratched water pitchers felt cheap.

I was there for a post-funeral luncheon and the food was quite good for something served in chafing pans. Chicken was nice and juicy, eggplant was nice, the canoli was a beautiful finish for the meal. Docking a star because the service was mid, the servers were complaining about seemingly the group of us overstaying or something on the other side of the wall. I thought it was tasteless in front of the grieving family. We all have the right to complain about things, but a business should at least find a more private employee area for that to go down. Otherwise it was good. I bet the dinner service is even better than the catering!

Another absolutely gem of a Italian restaurant in Monmouth County. Having traveled to Rome for business and pleasure I’ve become a big fan of Roman Style cooking! My favorite restaurant of all my travels is in Rome so stay tuned. But, I digress, Assaggini Di Roma does Roman Style cooking to perfection! I’m a big fan of tripe and they always have it on the menu! BYOB with attentive Staff and wonderful owner Dee! Only note prices on website old and need to be updated per restaurant menu. Still priced fair to portions for value.

Was in the area and needed a place for dinner and wanted Italian food and unfortunately this was an unpleasant experience. As an Italian who cooks, I was very disappointed in the food. The Caesar dressing was from a bottle and the meatballs were extremely overcooked or cooked and then reheated, tasted like the frozen meatballs at Costco. I think the most unpleasant part of the dinner was how rude the owner was. She was mad that the men we were with wanted to go across the street to grab a bottle of wine which took maybe ten minutes? Our reservation was early at 5pm and no one was even in there. Myself and my sister in law stayed at the table and ordered appetizers because she was mad they left for a quick minute. We felt pressured to start ordering because she started yelling at our waitress saying “now they are going to be here longer!” She said she has wine there but she originally said we are a byob when we sat. Service was very rushed and the food came out in a minute of ordering it which I’m assuming means it is already pre made and heated up. The staff all rushed the tables to turn them over. While I understand turning the tables to make a profit on a Saturday night but get your attitude in order before you worry about that or you won’t have anyone coming in. If there is a time limit at the tables, say that when you book their reservation. When you say we have no alcohol don’t get mad when they run to grab a bottle across the street then say I have alcohol here and maybe get the quality of the food down because it needs work. I know I’m not the only one who feels this way as your one star reviews all say the same as I just said! Will not be retuning or referring anyone after the way we were treated and the...

We are fairly new to the area and it was our first time eating here after reading great reviews and receiving recommendations from lots of locals.

Food was very tasty, service was attentive, and the atmosphere was both comfortable and busy. Only taking off stars for being given a water glass with lipstick on it and, more importantly, for menu prices being 40-60% higher than the prices advertised on the website!!!! For example, the stuffed artichoke that is $9.95 on the website was $15.95 on the restaurant menu this evening.

Our party is all very understanding of the increased cost of doing business and serving quality food, but a 40 to 60% price increase didn't happen so quickly that you could forgive an establishment for not updating their website pricing "yet".

It seems more like the prices have been going up for years now and no one bothered to update the website for years now. So either its a complete oversight (neglect) or it is being overlooked deliberately to lure new customers in.

Again the quality was good and, by today's standards, worth the prices on the restaurant menu so we will return. But, as first time customers who looked at the website and factored those advertised prices into our choice to book a family reservation here, it was definitely a gut shot when the prices were SUBSTANTIALLY higher on the restaurant menu upon arrival than they were on...

However, we were very disappointed by the way ownership acted. We had reservations, had a very nice dinner with friends until when we were finishing our coffee/dessert and the owner is rushing back and forth through the restaurant speaking very loud chanting "we have people waiting to be seated", "there's people packing in the front".... so rude that another table who had only been there for the first time swore not to come back. If there was a seating time limit, they could have told the tables when they arrived, not try and shame them to hurry up, pay the bill and leave. It was at the time when only one more seating would have taken place, and that next table wouldn't be rushed since it was only 745p. They weren't seating anyone after that.... so a few more minutes would not have made a difference for our time slot. Bad approach and really rude move by the owner who typically is nice. If you want people to eat and get out, go back to notifying table time limits so they know, Otherwise, calm down and don't ruin the customers' experience. The service staff and food was excellent. We won't be back for a while. And other tables we spoke to afterward said they won't...
