Sport Kilt — Local services in Heber

Around year 2000 I ordered 12 to 15 what are now called Original Sport Kilts. They arrived when they were supposed to. But when I opened the packages was extremely disappointed. The front aprons on some were crooked. The pleats on all were horrible. If you can imagine any undesirable quality of a pleat these kilts had them all. On the same kilt 1 pleat 4in wide, next pleat 1/4 in wide, next pleat 1 in and so on in random. From 2 in deep to 1/8 deep. Some pleats so shallow there was no edge. All of them were like this. They were a hodge podge of materials. From 100% cotton which I did not order to 100% polyester or mix of unknown. They were unwearable in public. When I called no one answered the phone. No response to emails. When I finally got someone on the phone I was told there was a $25 restocking fee on unopened packages. If the package was opened it was unreturnable. No exceptions. How do you inspect a product without opening the package. I took it as a very expensive loss and lesson learned. I couldn't even give these away to guys who were in combat at the ren faire. I now have 5 excellent quality and workmanship kilts...

After looking around and reading testimonials I ordered a kilt on July 11 with a requested August 10th deadline.

Called the Friday before to discover the kilt was not sent or finished. Disappointment #1. Fortunately I had a drop dead date of today the 15th and was promised shipment on Monday or Tuesday at the latest.

Called wednesday morning to confirm shipping and it still l wasn't shipped. Disappointment #2. Again was promised it would be shipped immediately 2nd day and would arrive today, Friday.

I was sent a shipping confirmation early this evening reflecting it was shipped out late today FedEx ground with an arrival date 6 days from now. No longer disappointed, now just straight up pissed off.

As a result will not be able to participate in the event which it was purchased for to which I'm flying cross-country, tonight, attend. Which their customer service was made aware of during both phone conversations.

If my CC hadn't been charged the day I ordered the kilt I would have stopped payment.

Most irresponsible online retailer I have ever used with piss poor...

Can’t say enough great things about Sports Kilt. Excellent customer service, honest expectations, clear communication and the type of business you want to support.

I was in dire need of the formal kilt package after some health issues and under a tight time constraint. James was very clear that they would do their best to get my kilt out to me, but they couldn’t guarantee it. I really appreciated that honesty, and such clear communication from start to finish.

I also noticed how they always answer the phone, even in an obviously busier time for them.

The kilt is fantastic. Super comfortable, well-made, and looks great.
