Well we were happy campers for the last few months and so was our puppy...However on a recent stay while I was out of town I called in to inform them that my daughter was going to pick our dog up earlier and was told that they were getting ready to call me. I was asked if our puppy had a cut on her face...mind you they had had her for 3 days by then..I stated no she did not and asked for pictures(see below) they state they do not know what happened and I asked them to clean the wound and that my daughter would be there after work to check it out. When my daughter arrived they asked her " what do you think it is"? and my daughter responded I don't know you were the ones keeping her. Now my daughter is a trained Vet tech so she knows a bite when she sees one, the camp bow wow people had not a clue has to what happened and said she must have gotten stung by a bee so our daughter promptly showed them how the bite almost pierced into the inside of her mouth .....now I know dogs will play and things happen but to not know what or when it happen and then try to say she must have had it before she came to stay is well outrageous after 3 days of care. So our daughter took her home and cared for her until our return. We never received a follow up call about her condition or how it could have happened since everything is filmed you would think some one would have watched it. So on Wednesday 5 days later we called and asked if they could watch the film and let us know since no one was apparently going to call us. On Thursday we got a call stating they do not know but never asked how she was...sad to say we have not been back and now since no one has done any follow up we will not be going back and yes there is now a very nice scar on her face...Just FYI so you can make your...
Read moreThe facility was pleasant and clean - I really liked the warm decor and the 'camp' style. The staff were all pleasant and answered all our questions during our walk through. During our tour, the air horn sounded and staff ran to deal with it - I was impressed with their professionalism and care in dealing with the situation (which was handled quickly) and were calm in explaining what had happened. I love the size of the spaces for the dogs and really like that they have the option of being outside and playing in pools of water to beat the heat... I also like that care is taken in what dogs associate with others and are shifted if there are issues. While on our tour, our dog Sully sat in the lobby with JRod and when we came out, he was sitting happily on her lap - It was obvious that he was made comfortable and put at ease (he has some abandonment issues as a rescue dog). He even happily went to day care for his interview. I also liked that on the video, the dogs were not anxious or antsy... and weren't pacing nervously in the play areas, which I have seen in other facilities... Overall, I am just so pleased with the care of the staff and...
Read moreI recently adopted a rescue dog and I checked around to find a place for my new pooch to occasionally socialize during the day with other dogs and to stay when I need to be out of town for the weekend without her.
I'm so glad I found the Henderson Camp Bow Wow! The interview process was great because it made sure that my dog would get along and play nicely with the other dogs at CBW. The staff answered all my questions thoroughly and were very patient and understanding with me since I was a little nervous to leave my newly adopted pet for the first time.
The facility is spotless!! This really put me at ease as I dropped her off. The drop off and pick up process was extremely easy. The staff could see that my dog was a little nervous and they treated her so nicely and were very caring with her. They showed me how to keep tabs on her throughout the day by using the app on my iPhone which allows me to access the cameras in the play areas. I love this feature.
I am very impressed with CBW and I know my pet will be spending more time there! I wish I could rate them with 10 ⭐️'s! I give them my highest...
