We were so excited to try Kinderland. We’ve been following the Facebook page since before it opened! The setup is fantastic! I love how open and visible most of the play area is, and the monitors showing the sand playground are a great touch. The staff were friendly, the facility looked very clean, and I felt the pricing was fair and reasonable. That said, we did experience a few issues during our visit. I was told there was a sibling discount, but when I checked out, we were charged full price for all three kids. I didn’t notice until we were leaving, so that’s partly on me for not double checking at the start.
My bigger concern was that there isn’t a staff member monitoring the play area. Unfortunately, some children were being rough while their parents sat in the lounge, which made it difficult for other kids to enjoy themselves safely. For example, one child repeatedly threw sand at others, dumped it on their heads, and ignored requests to stop resulting in us and other children having to leave the area. Another kept knocking down the large building blocks as other kids were building, causing a few to get hurt and leave crying. The same child as the sand was later purposefully riding a bike into other kids, and one younger child ended up with a bleeding toe and left crying.
Overall, Kinderland is a wonderful concept and so well done. With better supervision in the play area, I think it could be an incredible place for families. I hope they consider adding a staff member to monitor so all children can play safely and parents can...
Read moreI have had the honor of visiting Kinderland in Goodlettesville. What an amazingly well thought out space for children of a variety of ages. The staff is wonderful. As a Nanny and also Mimi of 5 grands from one daughter. I am picky. As a lifetime Early Childhood Educator I am constantly looking for safe, clean, child friendly, creative, inclusive place to take the children in my life. This place was a win win! I wasn't sure my little guy would like it enough to return. Not because of the place. Mostly because he changes his mind and also goes according to what he feels like doing. Yet Kinderland made the cut. It is very affordable. You can grab a beverage, such as an amazing Matcha Latte. Also their are Snacks. We have packed our lunch and stayed longer to play. There are so many vehicles to offer the promotion of gross motor skills. There is a room of sand with many different tools to encourage pouring and filling and digging with construction machinery. My little guy loves it! Our granddaughters loved it as well. It is large space with open ended play and it encourages creativity. Love love love! Next is buying the membership. We have a little drive from East Nashville. Yet it is a much needed space for our children. It is so worth the drive! The owners have made a point to recognize us as we have returned many times. We have been greeted wonderfully by the staff. As well as meet some very kind parents and or Nannies. Also scheduled a playdate there....
Read moreKinderland in Hendersonville has been the best indoor playground I’ve found in the entire Nashville area. The space is so thoughtfully designed, there’s a clear, intentional divide that lets my child feel confident playing independently and making new friends, while I can relax on the other side of the wall with a full view of the play area.
For the first time in five years, I’ve been able to have real conversations with other adults, and even make new friends, because the environment is built to foster community, not just playtime.
As a working parent, this place has been a total refuge during fall break. I can focus on my work, enjoy an exceptional coffee, and know my child is fully engaged and safe. Kinderland truly understands what parents and kids both need....
