Hendersonville Performing Arts Company — Attraction in Hendersonville

I am going to make this as brief as I can. HPAC is AWESOME!!! I saw their Beauty&the Beast musical production, and I couldn't wait to go back and see another one! I went back a couple of days ago to see their musical production called "Young Frankenstein", and I should've left during intermission. Talk about a waste of time and money. IT...WAS...AWFUL. After the 1st unnecessary/awkward "son of a b*h" it was down hill from there. I was aware it was for adults and there was going to be sexual jokes, but nobody said nothing about scenes being outright DISTURBING. The scenes that were suppose to be funny were awkward, and 90% of the scenes were just unpleasant. The singing was good, but not amusing. I left with a MASSIVE headache. Spoiler Warning - And how is a zombie that has sex with a woman "FUNNY"? Somebody PLEASE TELL ME. I want to LAUGH TOO! Nobody can cause it's NOT it's NASTY/FILTHY/DISGUSTING. I almost lost my lunch. HPAC listen Imma keep it 100. I LOVE y'all, but don't do anymore shows...

This place can put on a great show, and the performance values are top notch at times. However, I cannot recommend this place if you're looking to volunteer or meet new people unless you're originally from the Hendersonville area. This outfit is run by a local church and they are not very welcoming towards newcomers, so much so that they seem to have the same people and families performing in shows throughout the years. Some members will have no problem looking down on you and judging you, it can get very snobby behind the scenes. Cliques sadly are a thing here. As a patron you will have a good time here, but if you're looking to meet new people and get involved with the community, this is not a good first stop and the condescending attitudes behind the scenes can lead you to a bad first impression and a general disdain...

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the showcase of talent at H-PAC last weekend! We were totally entertained by The Addams Family. This was our first visit to the theatre and we ordered tickets for the next show before leaving the parking lot. Yes, it was that good!

September 2024 Just saw Bright Star at HPAC‼️‼️‼️🎉🎉 Ten stars ⭐️ My husband and our friends loved the performance…actually, all four of us were wowed by the talent on the stage. I already want to see it again. The updates to HPAC were evident (the December 2023 tornado did a lot of damage). The seats are very comfortable and the sound system is much improved 👍🏼 Bright Star is a wonderful show and the music is incredible. Costumes and scenery were spot on. There is not one weak link in the cast….thank you one and all for a delightful...
