I love going to HomeGoods, and like many, this HomeGoods has so much stuff that I can easily spend hours there. It's a great place if you are looking for something for any room in your home, for your pets, and gifts for your friends. It has dishes, pots & pans, utensils, glasses, vases, kitchen towels, storage containers and baskets, pet toys/bowls/beds/clothes/dishes/pee pads/toy baskets, throws, pillows, cushions, bathroom storage cabinet, kids furniture, toys, bath accessories, picture frames, sheets, bath towels, broom and dust pans, step stools, lamps, rugs of all types and sizes, pictures/artwork, mirrors, artificial flowers and arrangements, food, office products, accessories for the home, holiday decorations and gifts, note cards, snacks, olive oil, etc ... I can walk down a row twice and still find something I didn't see the first time. Everything is organized by category, but the items on the shelves can be messy with a lot of items on display. The cashiers are usually friendly and polite. I always enjoy shopping here even though I don't always buy something. When you pick 6 identical items off a shelf you expect them to be priced the same. After checking out I realized that some were 16.99 and others $19.99. The manager tried to explain to me that they had been delivered on different dates to the store. I told her customers don’t care when inventory is delivered but we do expect to pay the same price for identical products. She continued to argue with me to the point where I was so disgusted I asked for a refund on my entire purchase. Half way through the refund I started taking pictures of the 6 items at which point the manager (as she was processing the refund) stated that she just wanted me to be happy and would happily refund the difference. Seriously? I took my refund and left. I’ve been shopping at this location for 20 years and probably spend $1000/month. This was the worst customer service experience at any Home Goods. The manager obviously lacks customer service training which speaks to their hiring/training process. If upper management cares they should invest in common sense training for their employees. As a business owner myself I would’ve fired her. Really...

I have never been to this HomeGoods located off Centerville Road in Herndon VA. It is a small retail store similar to Ollie's Bargain Outlet, but on a smaller scale. The retailer hosts very modern decor with wooden floors throughout the store. An immaculate and well-organized shop where not a single item seems to be out of place. I have to assume that is because the staff is very good at recovery procedures. In any case, the store is very welcoming and the staff are very helpful too. One associate brought me a shopping cart because I didn't anticipate shopping. I thought I was going to look around, browse, and get acquainted with the layout. But I ended up finding a couple of items because they were very inexpensive on brand-name items. As the pictures and the video will demonstrate, the store is very clean and worth your time to find hard-to-find items, and very unique ones as well. My overall experience will garner a return to the store again; especially since I found a 24" desk chair I was eyeballing. I would recommend a visit even if it's...
