Delicious Food & Impeccable Service from Madras Chopsticks
Planning a catered event for 45 people can be daunting, but thanks to Madras Chopsticks and the amazing Mr. Guru, it was a breeze! From the initial planning to the final bite, Madras Chopsticks exceeded our expectations in every way.
Mr. Guru, the owner, was an absolute dream to work with. He patiently helped us determine the perfect quantity of each dish, ensuring there was enough for everyone to enjoy (and maybe even seconds!). As regulars at his other restaurant, Sai Saravana Bhavan, we knew we were in good hands. He even went the extra mile by having his best chef prepare the food for our special occasion, guaranteeing an authentic and delicious experience.
The food itself was simply phenomenal. Every dish was bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection:
Onion Pakodas: Crispy and perfectly seasoned, the perfect appetizer to kick off the event. Mini Ghee Idli with Chutney: Made in the traditional South Indian style, the ghee idlis were soft and flavorful, paired perfectly with the tangy chutney. Gobi 65: This unique dish had a perfect spicy kick, leaving everyone wanting more. Dry Chilli Paneer and Veg Hakka Noodles: A delicious fusion of Singaporean and Indian flavors, these dishes offered a unique and exciting twist on classic favorites. Tirunelveli Halva: The surprise dessert was a delightful touch! This authentic treat reminded everyone of its unique origins and added a touch of sweetness to the end of the meal.
Beyond the delicious food, Mr. Guru's attention to detail was truly impressive. He ensured the food was prepared on time, even providing a hot box to keep everything warm throughout the day. This allowed us to relax and enjoy the event without worrying about the food.
Our guests were absolutely raving about the food, especially when they learned the unique stories behind each dish. Mr. Guru's passion for his culinary heritage shone through in every bite, adding a special touch to the entire experience.
Overall, we cannot recommend this place highly enough. If you're looking for delicious, authentic food, exceptional service, and a truly memorable dining experience, look no further than Mr. Guru...

Food:
We are foodies and love to try out one new restaurant every week. We rarely give a place 5 stars. But every single dish we ordered was excellent so this place definitely deserves 5 stars. We ordered chicken manchow soup (cup size), dry Chilli chicken, chicken manchurian w/ gravy, chicken Chilli garlic noodles and chicken schezwan fried rice. The spice level they recommended for us and our little girl was perfect. I grew up eating Indo-Chinese dishes in Bombay and in my 15+ years in the US, I haven’t found a place with this good Indo-Chinese food.
Service: The host (owner or manager) was warm and attentive. The African American female server was very warm and friendly loving on our little girl and also attentive. I know the pandemic has hit the restaurant industry hard. So it’s always wonderful to see smiling faces.
Price and portion sizes: the price was pretty good and the portion sizes were excellent. We took the picture after we were done eating so we have plenty of leftovers to enjoy.
Parking: ample available...
Read moreI have been to this restaurant this evening. The place is pathetic. Please see the condition of this place. The price they charge. The Service is un professional. Look at the staff, there is one old fellow by name Mathew and there are some south Indian girls, i am sure they are students. They don't know how to talk to a guest, their body language is worst, They dont pay any attention to what you are ordering. This fellow Mathew, i have no hesitation calling him a stupid. They have put a dam old tables outside in the walk way and serving the food there. Please look at the place. They have a big Trash Bin right at the door of the restaurant. I have been here for the first time and FOR SURE THAT IT IS THE LAST TIME. The prices are high. Just look at the TO GO box they provide. Look at the plastic Spoon and knife, see the quality humm. They are Stingy ang give one leaf of paper napkin. We ordered the noddles and asked if they have any sauces and they gave a small pouch of Soya sauce. Shame on them. A chinese take away who give entire meal for $ 6.00 is much better then this place. On top of this, they charged 18 % Gratuity. SHAME ON THEM. Unfortunately i cannot post without giving one star, or i would have...
