UPDATE from 5 to 1 Not so happy any more, I have just walked out for my second time in as many weeks. Walk around and get the clerk's to make sure you are noticed, but nobody offers me to help with anything any more, but today I even had a clerk excuse himself as he was bringing a customer down the paint Ilse and I asked him if he can come back and assist me when he finished helping with the customer i noticed walk in and right by me about 20 minutes after I asked for help. At least 3 to 5 times other clerks wondering around looking right at me and I was never offered assistance, and for the second and last time, I sat down the items in my cart right in the middle of the isles floor and put the cart back and exited the front door. Sad that you have changed so much in so little time. Good luck

So happy to have them in herriman, employees are very kind, and a lot better than the shelf stockers at lowes and home Depot, very few of them know anything about the department they work in, and at Ace they're always going to be kind and helpful, and they're going to make you feel like a real customer, not just another person in the way of the fork lift, or stand in circles and talk, or i don't know, maybe The people at home depot are actually off the clock and someone else who works thier offered to help them, and that could explain my experience of the past 10 years...
Read moreWent in to get a key made to just unlock my car. The store manager was the one who helped me. We had a 5 min + conversation with me emphasizing that I only needed it to UNLOCK the car. I explained very clearly I didn't need it to start it only unlock it. I was told told that's not possible(when I have had it done with my mercedes key) Because of the alarm and computer of the car. Was told it would be $90. First off WOW. But I figured that's special that covers the alarm and starts it. Just like the one I have. I got a plain black key. That has nothing to do with the alarm or anything else! I was told I HAVE to get that key because of the alarm in my car. But does nothing. Now the store manager won't help me or fix anything. Very rude. And male chauvinist. Treated me terribly. I'm sure that if I were a male things would have been 100% different. There was no miscommunication. A 3rd grader would have understood. I'm embarrassed that Ace employs someone who treat women so horribly! Waiting to speak with the owner. To Be Continued......
Update. 11/10/20 The owner of this store was in contact with me. He was very pleasant person to deal with. He treated me with the highest respect. He made sure the issue was taken care of quickly! I am a very satisfied customer who will continue...

The Good: They have everything I need, it is reasonably priced, the lines are short, and they are very near to my home. 1,000 times more convenient than going to either Lowes or Home Depot.
The Bad: I dread walking in through the door, because the moment I do, I am immediately targeted by three employees asking if I need help.
They are like mosquitoes. A lot of us are anti-social, and just want to walk in and walk out without have to acknowledge that other humans exist. It's the same reason that many of us vastly prefer self-checkout, even if the self-checkout line is longer.
I'm a nice guy. It's not that I dislike you. It's just that I don't want to be on. I just want to walk in, grab what I need, and get out, without having to talk to you. Also, frankly, walking around looking for what I need is part of what shopping is about.
Just back off, give me some personal space. Stand by the door if you like, but stop pouncing on me! If I need help, I will ask you. I often go to Lowes which takes me 45 extra minutes, just to avoid having to interact with they "Can I help you" pychos standing by...
