I really hate to give a bad review, I’m local to this area and I wish nothing but the best for businesses here because it’s hard for them to survive in this area. But our experience today was just not ok. The “waitress” who helped us today unnerved us big time. She sat us and immediately went to making wontons at the bar counter. Didn’t ask us what we’d like to drink, no waters, nothing. We wait almost 10 minutes before she comes back and asks what we’d like so we ask for a couple waters to start. She brings us waters after a couple minutes and I notice she is still wearing the same gloves she had on when she sat us, gave us menus, and went back to filling the wontons. The SAME gloves. So my husband and I kind of made it a game to see if she’d change her gloves at all. Nope. She brought us our edemame and seaweed salad- same gloves on. We watched her walk over to the phone to answer it- same gloves on. Then went back to filling wonton wrappers. I was grossed out and contemplating leaving at this point. We were relieved when another guy brought our sushi out. My roll was flavorless, and the green onions on top looked as if they’d been drying out and old for a long time. My husband’s rolls were pretty unexciting in flavor as well. When our waitress took us up to the front to pay she was still wearing those gloves!!! It makes you wonder, if they’re doing something like that in front of customers what in the world are they doing back in the kitchen where you can’t see?! Sadly, we will not return. And I won’t be able to recommend this place to anyone else. I take food/kitchen safety very seriously and clearly these...
Read moreSecond time here. First time was great! This time, not so much. First, the restaurant has a slight sour smell. Please check your drains or consider an air purifier. Secondly, the service was horrible. The young Asian gal who served us (no name tag) would hardly speak, didn’t know the menu (asked for the menu # for each roll we ordered) plus we felt like we were interrupting something since she kept her air pods on her ear the whole time. We were never checked back on, we had to ask for napkins and plates. We were never offered refills on out drinks and the check was just unceremoniously place on our table when she walked by. The service severely detracted from our experience today.
Finally, the food was good. Could be great with some more attention to details. The edamame was hot but could use some kosher salt. (Perhaps a spicy garlic sauce?). The spring rolls were only “OK”. The filling was mushy and not very flavorful. Will not be ordering these again. The sushi rolls were very tasty and flavorful. The best part of the meal. Hopefully the restaurant continues to focus on the quality of the seafood and ingredients that go into their sushi and not let quality fall like some of the other Sushi places in...
Read moreI wrote a review 2 days ago for my first time, but had to delete to do another one since tonight is my second time! My first time this place was a solid 4.8/5 but was sad bc it wasn’t like other tempura mushrooms, everything else was perfection including the piping hotness when I received it and all the sauces/condiments and utensils! The sushi tastes fresh, trust in my Asian name lol Tonight I opened up my order and got an order of potstickers i didn’t order; so I contacted & Adam said it was on the house, I wasn’t expecting that!! They gave me whole mushrooms, all the stuff from last time, and on my last review I mentioned I didn’t like wasabi much from the states or ginger but I needed it bc it’s good for you and they did just that!! They gave me less portions on the wasabi and a little more on the ginger and they’re just so thoughtful! It’s a win win for both of us, less waste costs for them, a weekly repeat customer, and better portions for me! :) Not only Adam the manager/owner, but I thank the whole staff! Y’all are amazing, thank you for making my night ❤️ First pic; first time Second...
