Stater Bros. Markets — Local services in Hesperia

NOT A FRIENDLY STORE This IS the most unfriendly store I have ever visited. I moved over to this area a few months ago and the average worker there, especially those that have been there awhile, is just plain rude. They walk in front of you talking together and no excuse me sir or sorry. They talk about personal matters while you are standing there waiting and don't even great you half the time. I asked for quarters from Debrah W., a cashier, and she said "If I have any". I said I need them so just ask the manager if you need change. She gave a sour look and went to another register and found the quarters that THE CUSTOMER needed. Do you remember CUSTOMER? They are the ones who keep you in business. I know we are such a bother to your JOB. Kamiel (KA MEAL) on the other hand was very polite and told me to have a great day. I said thank you and that was nice, especially since I was going to review the store. Then Debrah got nice. I live around livestock and sometimes look shabby lol, but they have a hate for the homeless there and profile people. I am tired of it. I will just go to Vallarta or El Super for now on. Debra isn't the only one there. Over half the people working there give you dirty looks. Don't say hi. If they hate their jobs so much then leave. We would be better off without you. Terrible just terrible, I had gone to the market to grab a few things I needed to make myself a sandwich at home so I choose to go to this Stater bros market off Main St and 8th Avenue I was walked inside I grabbed my turkey lunch meat and bread amongst a couple other items went to the checkout line paid for the items left the store then as I got home and started to open the turkey lunch meat I noticed immediately how it was green with mold and I was disgusted good thing I saved the receipt and so I quickly dropped everything to take it back to the same Stater bros market and complained to one of the mangers that I was just there and purchased this lunch meat and it’s got mold on it and the manger lady proceeded to let me know I can go exchange it for a different one but I told her I prefer a refund and luckily she did give me a refund but it was still inconvenient for me to have to go out and drive twice to the market all because this specific starter bros lunch meats are NOT properly checked for mold or expired dates 🤦🏻‍♂️ I won’t be returning to this specific Stater bros...

I chose to run over to this store to buy some fruit today. I don’t typically go here cause it’s expensive and I prefer elsewhere. But just for a quick fix I ran in and to buy strawberries. Every single pack was leaking juice from bad molded strawberries, but I tried to find the best pack anyway, and the best one only had one molded strawberry that I could see. I bought it, took it home, and every single strawberry that you couldn’t see from the outside was completely moldy, mushy, black, or crushed. That was exactly half of the berries. I should’ve taken the other packages as a warning but that’s my fault I guess. Next time I will pay half the price at any other store for significantly better quality. Sorry Staters. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I’m out of town for the day, otherwise I would have brought them back with my receipt. Whoops. 😔

Edit: I just opened the bag of cherries I bought as well. ... they look the same. Y’all prices led me to believe I was actually buying...
