This has been my favorite store for years, but for a few months now, I've been feeling attacked by the horrendous music they play at full volume. The music is so terrible that I have to think twice before returning. I've tried to express my concern to the employees and they told me that the music comes directly from the store owner. If you'll allow me, I'd like to suggest that you consider playing more relaxing music, because there's already enough stress in life without having to listen to something so unpleasant out of obligation. Key Principles of Music Psychology in Retail: In-store music can significantly impact shopping psychology, influencing how customers feel, how long they stay, and what they buy. Music tempo, volume, and genre all play a role in creating the right ambiance to encourage browsing, impulse purchases, and even increase sales. Read moreI have been shopping at this store for a long time. I was introduced to the shopping are back in the 90’s. I purchased two rugs last week for $30 a piece, for a total of $60. I wasn’t complaining about the price when suddenly the man who prices the items came up. He was very rude. This week I wanted to look for a larger area rug. His assistant gave me a price which I agreed to pay. I feel he followed me around the store. After, I paid for the item it was literally in my cart going out the door. He asked, Did he give you a good price? I answered, Yes $30; with that he snatched the rug out of the cart and said, No!! This rug is $100 rug! I did not even suggest a price to the assistant who gave me the price. This rug is hand made or something he was yelling; as he snatched the rug!!! Very unprofessional. It’s okay because I’ll get a better deal somewhere else. I just think he was very rude and unprofessional. He could have been more respectful about it. He literally snatched the rug out of the cart; never had that happen before...
Read moreThis is a thrift store located in the historic Flamingo Plaza. Community Family Thrift is a chain of thrift stores that was started in 1985. They have locations in Boca Raton, North Miami, and this one in Hialeah. They also own La Lu Thrift Boutiques in Margate and Boca Raton.
This thrift store carries neatly organized by color clothing, sporting goods, electronics, and a pretty large selection of furniture. As I was wandering around I was warmly greeted and asked if I needed any help. They have an exporting division for wholesalers who want to ship out of Miami to Haiti, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Trinidad, Guatemala, Mexico, and Honduras.
They accept donations of gently used items. According to their website they partner with a group called Networking to Help Children who from what I gather, supports other charities that are holding events with money, volunteers, and donations. In any case this is a good thrift store to check out among the several located in...
